9 English 1.2 Introducing th e TV You can watch SECAM/ PAL/ DVB-T broadca st, cable, or digital television channels, and easily connect a VCR, STB or DVD play er to the SCART, co mponent, an d HDMI input ports (location of these ports depends on model).
10 English 1.4 Control Panel Description Button Function Power Press to turn the TV on or off. Input source INPUT Press to select the proper input so urce. Menu MENU Press to open the OSD menu. Program select P S Press to increase the program number or move upward to the previous item on the OSD menu.

15 English 1.6.1 Inserting the Remote Control Batteries 1 Open the battery compartment cover at the back of the remote control (A). 2 Insert the batteries paying atte ntion to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment (B). 3 Replace th e battery compartmen t cover (C).
16 English CAUTION • If the remote control is not used for a long period, remove the batteries and store them properly. • H andle damaged or leaking batteries carefully, and wash hand s with soap if they come in contact with leaked chemical fluids.
17 English 2 Setting up your TV 2.1 Basic Connections 2.1.1 Power Con nection 1 Connect the power cord to the AC IN input jack on the rear of the TV. 2 Insert the plug at the other end of the powe r cord into a power outlet.
18 English 2.2 Connecting External Devices Connect external devi ces such as VCRs, STBs, DVD players, video game consoles, earphones, or a PC to the TV using the ap propriate ports on the rear of the TV. 2.2.1 Connecting External Earph ones Note: • Exte rnal speakers or headp hones are not included with the TV.
19 English 2.2.2 Connecting to AV Device s The following diagram illustra tes how to connect the AV devices to your TV via HDMI (A), Component (B), and SCART (C) ports.
20 English 2.2.3 Connecting a VCR/ STB/ DVD Player Using Component Video Connect the TV to a VCR/ STB/ DVD player using the component vid eo inputs. 2.2.4 Connecting a PC using VGA Connect the TV to your PC to use it as the monitor using the VGA port as shown.
21 English 2.2.5 Connecting a PC using DVI Connect the TV to your PC to use it as the monitor using th e DVI port as shown. 1 Connect the HDMI port of the TV to the DVI output of the PC. 2 Connect the line out port of the PC to the PC LINE IN port of your TV to l isten to audio from the PC.
22 English 2.2.7 Connecting a VCR/ STB/ DVD Player using SCART Connect the SCART (optional) to conne ct a TV, VCR, VCD, DVD player or video game console. You can choose to use a SCART cable or adapter for the conn ection depending on the ports availa ble on your player.
23 English 2.3 Using the TV 2.3.1 Turning the TV On and Off 1 Press on the control panel o r remote co ntrol. The powe r LED indicator on the TV changes from amber to blue, indicating that the TV is on. 2 Press again. The powe r LED changes from blue to amber, indicating that the TV is off.
24 English 3 Adjusting On-Screen Display (OSD) Settings The On-Screen Di splay (OSD) menu system provides a quick and simple method to adjust the TV settings.
English 25 3.1 OSD Setting Menus Follow the i nstructions indicated on the down side of the OSD Fun ction Menu. Press P S / T on the control panel o r / arrow keys to scroll through the menus, VOL + on the control panel or the arrow key to select an item, or MENU to exit the OSD menu.
English 26 3.3 Adjusting Sound Settings - ACM (Adaptive Contrast Management ) delivers high contrast ratio and optimum brightness to produce the best possible pi cture. It enhances the panel contrast by making bright areas brighter and dark a reas darker.
English 27 3.4 Adjusting Channel Settings 1 Press MENU to enter the OSD Main Menu scree n. 2 Press to select the Channel Managemen t menu. 3 Press to enter the Channel Man agement menu. 4 Press / to select an item. 5 Press / adjust the scales or options settings.
English 28 3.5 Adjusting TV Settings 9 Press to enter the Channel Edit menu, the Ch annel Editor allows you to edit the detailed items, including Name , Skip , and Reorder for each channel. • To change the channel name, select Name , and input the channel name you prefer using the numeric buttons 0 ~9 on the remo te control.
English 29 6 Press OK to confirm the changed setting. Press MENU to return to the Setting menu entry. 7 Press MENU to exit the OSD menu. 8 The Setting menu can be used to adjust the Aspect , HDMI Scan Info , Menu Language , Blue Mut e , Sleep , SCART and Reset Setting .

English 31 3.6 Parental Control 3.7 Adjusting PC Setup Settings Parental Control allows you to block channels, programs not appropriate to certain ages, or input devic es with a password you setup. 1 Press MENU to enter the OSD Main Menu screen. 2 Press to select the Parental Control menu entry.
