4 How to Use Skillet 1 2 3 Insert to line. Select desired temperature. Let skillet preheat UNCOVERED for 5-10 minutes. When frying, pour oil in skillet, then preheat unit. Indicator light will go out when desired temperature is reached. Add food. Only use wooden or plastic cooking utensils to prolong the life of the nonstick coating.
