Model 1983 Control Code Converter Ins tallation Instructions The 1983 Code Converter, for use with American Dynamics switching systems, enables control of a Receiver at a distant camera site via an RS-232 communication link.

INSTALLATION MOUNTING RS-232 Connector The Code Converters are supplied as free desk mount standing units. For rack mounting, use AD21 17 Series Rack Mount kits. Mount one of the two Code Converters in a convenient location near the Switcher/Controller or, if used, a Code Distributor.
INSTALLATION SETUP at SwitcherKontroller Site All controls for the Code Converter are located on the unit's front panel. The front panel controls determine if the unit receives Control Code and converts it to RS-232 or receives RS-232 and converts it to Control Code.
OPERATION Start - This is a 10-position rotary switch. Positions one through eight are used to select the starting camera number of the group of eight cameras that the code converter is to be used for. The remaining two positions of the rotary are not used.
