G06 09 1 2" Parallelogram Jointer - 21 - T able M ov ement : T o move t he infeed t able, loosen t he table loc k ( Figure 1 7 ), move the t able with the table hand wheel in t he preset range, then tighten the table lock. The out feed t able is preset with no range of movement allowed, so if it g ets accidentally unlocked it will not move .
-22- G0609 1 2" Parallelogram Jointer • Remove foreign objects from the stock. Make sure that any stock you process with the jointer is clean and free of any dirt, nails, staples, tiny rocks or any other foreign objects that may damage the jointer blades.
G06 09 1 2" Parallelogram Jointer -23- The purpose of surface planing on the jointer is to mak e one flat fa ce on a piece of stoc k (see Figures 22 & 23 ) to prepare it for sur face planing on a thick ness planer . T o sur face p lane on th e jointer: 1.
-2 4- G 06 09 1 2 " Pa rallelogram Jointer The purpose of edge jointing is to produce a fin- ished, flat-ed ged sur face (see Figures 24 & 2 5 ) that is suitab le for joiner y or finishing. It is also a necessar y step when squaring rough or warped stock.
G06 09 1 2" Parallelogram Jointer -25- The purpose of bev el cutt ing is to cut a spec ific angle into the edge of a workpiece (see Figures 26 & 2 7 ). The M odel G06 09 has preset fence stops at 45˚ inwa rd, 90˚ , and 45˚ out ward ( 1 35˚).
-26- G0 60 9 1 2 " Pa rallelogram Jointer The purpose of rabbet cutting is to remove a section of the workpiece edge (see Figures 28 & 29 ). When combined with another rabbet cut edge, the rabbet joints create a simple, yet strong method of joining stock.

-3 6 - G06 09 1 2" Paral lelogram Jo inte r 7. Adjusting the knife heights: a. Using a 3mm hex wrench, find the jack screws through the access holes in the cutterhead ( Figure 45 ) and rotate the jack screws to raise or lower the knife.

Place the straightedge in one of the positions shown in Figure 49 , and adjust the table (a small hammer and punch or pin-type span - ner wrench may be necessary to turn the eccentric bushings) so that the straightedge touches the cutterhead while lying flat across the outfeed table.

T o se t the 4 5° outward fence stop : 1. Raise the stop block, loosen the fence tilt lock, and position the fence against the 45° outward positive stop bolt.
