Look down and behind bef ore and while backing. K eep children out of work area and under watchful care of a responsib le adult.
GB - 6 NEVER place your hands or an y par t of your body or clothing inside or near any mo ving par t while unit is running. AL W A YS k eep hands and feet a wa y from all rotating par ts during operation.
GB - 7 Replace fuel cap securely and clean up spilled fuel. Ne v er fi ll containers inside a v ehicle or on a truck or trailer bed with a plastic liner . Alwa ys place containers on the ground a wa y from your v ehicle before fi lling. When practical, remo ve gas-po wered equipment from the truck or trailer and refuel it on the g round.
GB - 8 T ools required: • sock et wrench, 15/16" • tire gauge Unpack Unit Remov e unit and all other components from the shipping container . Install Handlebar 1. Remov e nut securing handlebar to shaft. 2. Remov e handlebar from shaft. 3. Place handlebar on shaft so handle grips are up and angled tow ard front of unit.
GB - 9 Throttle Le ver Mov e lev er to F AST (1) position to increase engine speed. Mov e lev er to SLOW (2) position to decrease engine speed. Choke Pull choke control out to start a cold engine. Push control in as engine warms up . Handlebar T ur n handlebar clockwise to steer right.
GB - 10 5. Fill fuel tank to within 1/2" (1.3 cm) below bottom of fi ller neck. NO TE: Fuel tank capacity is 7.5 gal. (28.4L). 6. Replace fuel cap and tighten. 7. Clean up any spilled fuel. T O STOP IN AN EMERGENCY T ur n ignition ke y to OFF . STARTING THE ENGINE 1.

GB - 12 2. Disconnect cables from battery (negative , then positiv e). 3. Clean terminals and batter y cable ends with wire brush. 4. Coat terminals with grease or petroleum jelly . 5. Reconnect cables to battery (positive , then negativ e). 6. Replace batter y cov er .
GB - 13 CHECK ENGINE OIL COOLER Check engine oil cooler e very 25 hours. Chec k more often when operating in dir ty or dusty conditions. See engine manual f or detailed instr uctions. CLEAN HYDRAULIC OIL COOLER Blow out h ydraulic oil cooler with compressed air e v er y 25 hours of operation to remo ve dust and debris.
GB - 14 ADJUSTING DIRECTION CONTROL P EDAL 1. Remov e jam nut from stop bolt and remov e stop bolt from frame . 2. Remov e bolt and nut connecting rod end to direction control pedal. 3. T ur n rod end farther onto rod to angle pedal back. T ur n rod end farther off of rod to angle pedal f orward.
GB - 15 STEERING BELT ADJUSTMENT 1. Loosen idler nut. 2. Tighten adjustment screw . T orque to 23 - 27 in. lbs . (2.6 - 3 Nm). 3. Tighten idler nut. BATTERY Charging Battery AL W A YS f ollow inf ormation provided on batter y by batter y manuf acturer .
GB - 16 SHORT T ERM IMPORT ANT : NEVER spra y unit with water or store unit outdoors. Inspect unit f or visible signs of w ear , breakage or damage. K eep all nuts, bolts and scre ws properly tightened and know unit is in saf e working condition. Store unit in a cool, dr y protected area.
