(a) F ADER “Q” ST ART CONTROL: This feature is used in conjunction with most American Audio® and American DJ® audio mixers that also feature “Fader Q Start” control. For best results use this feature with two (2) Radius 2000 players. Connect your Radius 3000 as described in the set-up section of this manual.

even if a disc has been removed and will reflect on any other disc loaded into the player . That is to say , if you set a +2% pitch on one disc, remove that disc and load another , that disc too will have a +2% pitch. The amount of pitch being applied will be displayed in the VFD (3).
4 (Mode 4) - The Wheel flashes to the beat of the music. Wheel stays lit when scratching 5 (Mode 5) - Wheel is always on. Dimmable from 100-0 6 (Mode 6) - Flashes at a set speed 7 (Mode 7) - Cue indicator with a strobe effect. 8 (Mode *) - The wheel will light when the touch sensor on the jog wheel is touched in Scratch or Scratch Cue mode.

fect tweaks the original sound to add different tonal definition. The effect is almost the same as the PHASE effect. ECHO EFFECT - This button is used to activate and deactivate the Echo effect. The Echo effect adds an echo to your output signal. See built in effects on page 32.

4. ST ARTING PLA YBACK - Figure 8 Load a audio device as described on page 18 ( LOADING/EJECTING SD CARD, USB, or CD ). Pressing the PLA Y/P AUSE BUTTON (13) will immediately start playback. The PLA Y (42) indicator will glow as soon as playback begins.
BASIC OPERA TIONS (CONT .) 1) Y ou may press the IN BUTTON (15) on the fly (while a track is playing). This will set a CUE Point without music interruption. Pressing the CUE BUTTON (14) will now return you to the same point that you pressed the IN BUTTON (15).

BASIC OPERA TIONS (CONT .) 3) Press the OUT BUTTON (15) to set the ending point for your SEAMLESS LOOP (Figure 17). The IN BUTTON (15) and OUT BUTTON (15) LEDs will immediately begin to flash rapidly , indicating the SEAMLESS LOOP mode has been activated.

Changing the Sample Parameters: Changing the sample parameters allows you to change the sample's volume and pitch. A higher value will increase the pitch percentage or volume. It's important to understand that the pitch value is basically a speed adjustment and has nothing to do with tonal quality .

TIME BAR INDICA TOR (53) - Details the time defined in the TIME METER (54) as a visual bar icon. As with the TIME METER (54) this bar is also dependent on the selected time function [TOT AL REMAIN, REMAIN OR ELAPSED].
Figure 32 JOG WHEEL TOUCH SENSITIVITY : This function works with the SCRA TCH effects. This function allows the play and cue commands to be controlled by tapping on the touch sensitive jog wheel. ADJUSTING JOG WHEEL TOUCH SENSITVITY : The degree of sensitivity can be adjusted to make it more or less sensitive.

BUIL T -IN EFFECTS The Radius 3000™ comes with eight built in effects. These effects can be used one at a time or you may choose to overlap the effects and use up to four at a time. The Built-in effects include Scratch, Filter , Echo, T rans, Skid, Phase, Flanger , and Pan.

The FLANGER Ef fect has two adjustable parameters, Parameter Time (PT) and Parameter Ratio (PR).
P ARAMETERS: All the effects have adjustable parameters. The parameters change the way the effects will react. T o adjust the parameter values for any of the ef fects, turn either of the two P ARAMETER KNOBS (25 OR 31) . When the parameter value is adjusted the VFD display will indicate the parameter adjustment.
