Installation 10 313869B Installation This spra y gun can spra y most coatings or fin- ishes currently being used f or small compo- nent plastic, w ood and metal finishing applications, while easily operating from paint deliv er y systems, such as pressure pots or remote pumps f or pro duction line operation.
Installation 313869B 11 Guns without Manif old The gun is shipped ready f o r use in a circulat- ing system, with a fitting installed in each fluid por t. Connect the fluid s upply line to one fluid inlet fitting (15) and the fluid re tur n line to the other .

Setup 313869B 15 Connect Fluid Hose NO TE: • Bef ore connecting the fluid line, bl ow it out with air and flush it with solvent. Use solv en t that is compatible with the fluid to be spra yed. • Install a flui d regulator (L) on the fluid line to control fluid pr essure to the gun.
Setup 16 313869B Flush Spra y Gun Bef ore r unning any paint through the spra y gun: 1. Flush the gun with a so lv ent that is compat- ible with the fluid to be spr ay ed, using the low est possible fluid pressure and a grounded metal container . See Clean and Flush Gun , page 20.
Setup 313869B 17 NO TE: A larger fluid nozzl e at a reduced fluid pressure will maintain t he same flow rate, b ut the fluid stream (v eloc ity) will slow down. When air is applied, the lo wer velocity allo ws the air to act on t he fluid longer , which improv es atomization.
