3 GC-1388F W arnings The following warnings are for the setup, use, grounding, maintenance, and repair of this equipment. The exclamation point symbol alerts you to a general warning and the hazard symbol refers to procedure- specic risk. Refer back to these warnings.
4 GC-1388F W ARNING SKIN INJECTION HAZARD High-pressure uid from gun, hose leaks, or ruptured components will pierce skin. This may look like just a cut, but it is a serious injury that can result in amputation. Get immediate surgical treatment. • Do not point gun at anyone or at any part of the body .
5 GC-1388F Important Safety Information Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKP) MEKP is among the more hazardous materials found in commercial channels. Proper handling of the “unstable (reactive)” chemicals presents a denite challenge to the plastics industry .
6 GC-1388F This equipment needs to be grounded. Ground the dispense gun through connection to a GlasCraft approved grounded uid supply hose. Check your local electrical code and related manuals for detailed grounding instructions of all equipment in the work area.
7 GC-1388F Rotate trigger lock to stop the trigger from being activated. Hose Attachment 1. Engage the trigger lock. 2. Attach the (black p/n 21694-25) material hose to the material inlet tting on the back of the gun. 3. Attach the (yellow p/n 236) solvent line to the solvent inlet tting on the back of the gun.

14 GC-1388F T o relieve uid and air pressures: 1. Push down Y ellow slide valve, P/N 21402-00 to bleed off air to system. 2. Open P/N 21228-00 on catalyst pump to recirculation position. 3. Open P/N 21 192-00 on bottom of material pump. 4. V erify the T rigger Lock is in the Locked position.
15 GC-1388F Parts Replacement Procedure Before performing maintenance on the dispense gun, follow Pressure Relief Procedure. Due to the different o-ring materials and lubricants used in the dispense guns, never submerge or soak any dis - pense gun in any type of solvent.
16 GC-1388F 1 2 3 4 5 Needle & Pin Removal Procedures 1. Remove needle collets. (3/8in. Wrench) 2. Remove set screws. (5/64in. Hex Key) 3. Remove needle guard.
17 GC-1388F 21222-00 20507-00 (Retainer) If Packing, P/N 20507-00 and Packing Disks, P/N 20508-00 are removed from Needle and Pack- ing Housing, GlasCraft recommends that these parts always be replaced with NEW packings and packing disks. 1. Ensure spring is seated on needle shoulder .
18 GC-1388F OK OK 5 3 4 2 1 Flush Needle & Pin Reassemble Procedure 1. Reassemble the needle assemblies to the gun body . Lubricate the o-rings & use teon tape on the threads.
19 GC -1388F NOT OK Set Screws 5/64in. hex key T rigger & Needle Guard Readjustment Procedure If you trigger the gun and notice that one needle is activating before the other and not parallel, ne adjustment is needed. 1. Using a 5/64in. hex key adjust the Set Screw which is NOT making gun pin contact when the gun is triggered.
20 GC-1388F 1 Remove the trigger from gun. Slide it down and to the side. 2 Slide the gun pins, p/n 23514-00 forward to allow access to the packing nuts.
