Ultra Max t Electric Airless Sprayers Operating Instructions The intent of these instructions is to provide the new painter with a quick and easy reference to become familiar with airless sprayers. This does not replace the Instruction Manual supplied with this sprayer .
2 309273 PRESSURE RELIEF – Do this when cleaning, repairing or shuting down sprayer WASTE RESÍDUOS À JETER DESECHO 1. T urn pressure to lowest setting. T urn power OFF . Unplug sprayer . 2. T rigger gun to relieve pressure. 3. Put drain tube in pail .

4 309273 1. Connect Graco airless hose to sprayer . T ighten securely . 2. Connect other end of hose to gun. Setup 3. T ighten securely . 4. Remove tip guard.
5 309273 5. Check inlet strainer for clogs and debris. 6. Fill throat packing nut with TSL to prevent premature packing wear . Do this each time you spray .
6 309273 P AINT FLUSH 7. T urn power OFF . 8. Plug power supply cord into a properly grounded electrical outlet. 9. T urn prime valve down. 10. Place suction tube and drain tube in grounded metal pail partially filled with flushing fluid. Attach ground wire to pail and to true earth ground.
7 309273 FLUSH Note: Inspect fittings for leaks. Do not stop leaks with your hand or a rag! If leaks occur , do Pressure Relief . T ighten leaky fittings. Repeat Startup, 1. – 5 . If no leaks, continue to trigger gun until system is thoroughly flushed.

9 309273 SwitchTip and Guard Assembly 1. Insert SwitchT ip. Insert seat and OneSeal. 2. Screw assembly onto gun. Hand tighten. SwitchT ip OneSeal seat Press SMARTCONTROL button to cycle through PRESSU.
10 309273 Spray T est Pattern heavy edges Clearing Tip Clogs 1. T rigger gun and spray test pattern. Slowly adjust pressure to eliminate heavy edges. Use smaller tip size if pressure adjustment can not eliminate heavy edges. 2. Hold gun perpendicular , 10–12 in.
11 309273 Cleanup P AINT 1. T urn power OFF . 2. T urn pressure to lowest setting. T rigger gun to relieve pressure. 3. T urn prime valve down. 4. Remove filter assembly and assemble gun without filter .
12 309273 5. Remove guard and SwitchT ip. 6. Clean filter , guard and SwitchT ip in flushing fluid. P AINT FLUSH 7. Remove siphon tube set from paint and place in flushing fluid. Use water for water base paint and mineral spirits for oil base paint. 8.
13 309273 P AINT FLUSH 9. T urn power ON. 10. T urn prime valve hori- zontal. 1 1. Hold gun against paint pail. T ake trigger safety OFF . T rigger gun until flushing fluid appears. 12. Move gun to flushing pail, hold gun against pail, trigger gun to thoroughly flush system.
14 309273 P AINT FLUSH FLUSH 14. Raise siphon tube above flushing fluid and run sprayer for 15 to 30 seconds to drain fluid. T urn power OFF . 15. Make sure plastic center tube is tightened securely . Install filter bowl and filter . Hand tighten filter bowl.
