Installation Location Allow sufficie nt space to p ermit easy ac cess for maintenance and servic e, especially in front of the pump. The pump area should have adequ ate headroom and sufficie nt ventilati on.
Installation Fluid Connect ions Undue stress on th e pump inlet or outl et connection s can cause seriou s injury o r equipment failure. The fluid inlet and o utlet lines must be independentl y supported. The pipe supports should be located as close to t he pump as possible.
Installation Flush Connections Line flush ing connecti ons are recommend ed when pumping slu rries or liquids with a hig h concentration of solids t hat tend to set tle when the pump is turned off.

Installation Grounding This equipment must be gr ounded to reduce the risk of stati c sparking and electr ic shock. Electric or static sparking ca n cause fumes to igni te or explode. Improper grou nding can cause electric shock. Grounding provides an escape wire for the electric cu rrent.
