312348B 5 Piston Kit Installation 1. Install piston r od seal; ensure u-cup face s piston rod as shown in F IG . 5. 2. Assemble piston head to piston ro d. Apply Loctite to threads and torque pisto n head according to T able 1. T able 1: T orque Specification 3.
6 312348B 5. Softly tap seal into bore until it bottom s out. 6. Inser t bushing into bore; ma ke sure larger outside diameter f aces seal and sma ller outside diameter f aces plate. 7. Assemble ga sket and ba ck plate to bloc k using sup- plied scre ws.
312348B 7 10. Place assembly on a sp acer , such as a two inch wide roll of tape , and tap piston rod th rough throat seal and bear ing. 11. T ap cylinder onto piston r od as shown in F IG . 15. Be careful to not score pi ston seal. Continue tap ping cylinder until it seats in bore of bloc k.
