Setup 312766N 11 Setup 1. Apply thread sealant to the male threads of the ai r ne edle val ve (5 4) and the qu ick dis- connect f itting (55). I nstall into inlet port (AK). 2. Apply threa d sealant t o the male ou tlet fit- ting (BC ) (not supplie d) an d insert into t he outlet port (A L).

In a cir culat ing system, remove th e pipe plug (2) and con- nect a fluid re turn line to t he 3/8 npt(f ) return po rt (AM).

Operation 14 312766N Daily Startup 1. Veri fy that t he air needle valve (54) is closed. 2. Co nnect the air line qu ick disc on nect co u- pler ( 55) t o the t ransfer pump . 3. Turn on the mai n air supply. 4. Slow ly op en the ai r need le val ve unti l the transfer pum p runs slowly.

Repair 16 312766N 3. Use a pliers on the top plat e of the air valve piston (38) a nd a wr ench on the piston r od (35) to uns crew the a ir val ve pis ton from the pi ston rod . See F IG . 11. 4. Remove washer (10) , lower spring (9), and gasket (27).
