11 Connect Your Tuner to Your Network Getting Started Step 1 - Power up the tuner Power your tuner by connecting to the Power Adapter with the socket labe lled 5V 1.2A DC a t the back of your TUNER. Turn the main power switch ON at the rear of the cab inet.
12 Step 2 - Scan for a wireless network connection When the display shows <Scan for netwo rks>, press the ‘Tuner/Select’ button. NOTE: IF you make an e rror at any point, press the ‘Back.
13 Step 3 - Connect to the wi reless network When the ESSID for the router yo u want to connect is displayed on the screen, press OK . IF your network is not configured t o requir e an encryption code.
14 After approximately 3 seconds, the disp lay goes into the password entry mode: <E N D ◄ ► A BCDEF> █ To enter the password, use the Tuner /Se lec t DIAL or the UP/DOWN buttons on the remote to select each letter/number/symbol of the password in turn, pressing OK after each le tter.
15 Wired network connection & tuner settings Wired connect ion, settings & network conf igurations The ‘Settings’ section on your Tu ner offers numerous sub-menus that allow you to set and modify Network configurations and other f eatures and functions for your Tuner.
16 IF Auto is se lected, your Tuner wi ll detect aut omatical ly for either wired conne ction or wireless connection. IF Wired Only is selected, yo ur Tuner w ill only connect through a Wired conne ction. IF Wireless Only is selected, your Tuner will o nly connect through Wirele ss Wi-Fi connection.
17 Listening to Your In ternet Radio Tuner Settings & Network Configurations Changing the volume – headphone connection The volume control on the unit is just for adjusting the volume for the headphone. You can change the volume by turning the Tuner/Select Dial clockwi se to increase the volume and counter- clockwise to decrease the volume.
18 <Location> allows you to choose stat ions starting with the geographical a rea <Genre> allows you to choose stations according to their content, for example Classic Rock, Sport, News, etc.
19 NOTE some tuner statio ns do not broadcast 24 hours per day, and some stations are not always on-line. If this station has on-demand content (th at is, it gives the option of listening to programmes which have already been broadcast), see “Sta tions which enable you to choose what you listen to”.
20 1. When a station is playing, press th e and hold one o f the numbers (1-10) on the remote control. 2. Select a number to assign th e station to (1-10). * Please note presets 1-5 a re the same for the rem ote & tuner and can be sto red using either the tuner or remote.
21 1. Turn the Dial to choose <Live> or <On Demand>, then press the ‘ Sele ct’ button. IF you choose <Live> then the tuner plays the curr ent output from this station as normal. If you choose <On Demand> more screens are di splayed and you can choose wh at you want to listen.

25 Setting the sleep timer 1. Choose Alarm Clock 2. Choose Sleep Timer 3. Then scroll the Select Dial form between 30 seconds and 99 hour s. When the desired time is reached, Press the select Dia l. The tuner will stay on until t he timer is reaches zero.
26 * ‘manage my stuff’: This is the area to add your personal streams and to save ad dition stations. * ‘manage my tuners’: This is the area to delete your tuner from you r account or to add additional tu ners.
27 3. Once you have Internet tuner s treams avai lable in your ‘My Streams’ list, you may play these stations from your Internet T uner. These stations will be availa bl e on your tuner from the menu item: ‘Stations > My Stuff > My Streams’.
28 4. After you have successfully logged into w ww.gr ace.reciva.com and your tuner is registered, you can choose 'extra features'. You will then be prompted to add your Pandora ‘user name’ and ‘password’. After you have done th is please unplug your tuner from power and wait 15 minutes.
29 Media Player Quickstart Guide The Media Player allows you to p lay unprotec ted audio f iles (AAC, AIFF, MP3, RM, WAV, WMA) and play lists (M3U) stored on a n etworked PC or Apple. It has been ver ified to work with Windows 2000 and Windo ws XP, and Apple OSX.
30 4. Open ‘Windows Explorer’ by right clicking on the Start menu and selecting ‘Explor e’. Create a new directory in the ‘Public’ directory and move your med ia files into this n ew directory. 5. Right click on the directory just created an d se lect ‘Share…’.
31 Turn on ‘AirPort’ (or wireless sharing). Wait for a few minutes for the changes to take place. 5. The tuner should no w be able to access the MAC from its ‘Media Player > Windows Shares’ menu after entering in the MAC account’s short name and password on the tuner.
32 Listening to a single shared track 1. Turn the Dial until ‘By Artist’ is displayed. 2. Press the SELECT button. 3. Turn the Dial until the required artist is displayed. 4. Press the SELECT button. 5. Turn the Dial until the required album name is displayed.

Turn the Dial to see which tracks are queued up fo r playback. 3. If you want to jump to a particular place in the queue then press the SELECT button when the required track is displayed.
35 5. Press the SELECT button. 6. Turn the Dial until ‘Shuffle’ is displayed. 7. Press the SELECT button. 8. Turn the Dial to select YES/NO to confirm that shuffle mode shou ld be enabled. Playing tracks in the lis t (queue) repeatedly 1. Select the individual tracks as described p reviously.
36 Set up a Windows PC to allow the tuner to access your audio files via a UPnP server 1. If your PC is running M icrosoft Windows XP or Windows Vista, t hen you can use Windows Media Player 11 (WMP11) to act as your UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) media server 1.
37 5. From the ‘Media Sharing’ window, the tuner will be listed as an unknown device. Click on the unknown device listed, the n click the ‘Allow’ button and t hen click ‘OK’.
38 Locating and playing media files using the tuner and UPnP 1. Once the UPnP server is configured to share media files w ith the Internet tuner, yo u can play the files by doing the follo wing on the tuner. 2. Keep pressing BACK to get to the tuner’s top-level menu and the n turn the Dial to select ‘Media Player’.
