Installation instructions 5 2. Installation and hook-up Remove the polystyrene bask et retainers. Position the appliance in the desired place of installation. The back or sides of the dish washer may be placed up against walls or other furniture units.
Installation instructions 6 2.1 Water supply connection Preventing the risk of clogging or damage: if the water pipe is new or has not been used for a long t ime, before connecting to the water supply check that the water is clear and free of impu rities, to prevent damage to the appliance.
Installation instructions 7 2.2 Electrical connection and precaution s CHECK THAT THE VOLTAGE AND THE FREQUENCY OF THE MAINS MATCH THE RATINGS ON THE NAME PLATE OF THE APPLIANCE POSITIONED ON THE INNER EDGE OF THE DOOR. THE PLUG ON THE SUPPLY CORD AND THE CORRESPONDING SOCKET OUTLET MUST BE OF THE SAME TYPE AND MEET THE REGULATIONS IN FORCE.

User instructions 10 SETTING THE WASHING PROGRAM To select the most suitable program fo r the dishes to be washed refer to the table below, which indicates the most appropriate program according to dish type and degree of soiling.

User instructions 12 3.2 Washing programs The dishwasher is e quipped with a control pane l an an 3-FIGURE DISPLAY (12) , described in chapter " 3. Description of the c ontrols", from which it is possible to carr y out all the power switch-on, s w itc h-off and programming operations.
User instructions 13 CHANGIN THE PROGRAM To modify the progr am keep the START/PAUSE button (4) pressed for a few seconds, until the PR OG R AM S TAR T ED indicator light (5) stops flashing , then sel.
User instructions 14 DELAYING THE PROGRAM (available in all progra ms except the soak program) The PROGRAM DELA Y butt on (6) can be pressed to delay the start of the washing program by up to 12 hours. This means that the dishwasher can be operated at the time of day of your choice.
User instructions 15 START THE DISHWASHER After carrying out all the operations described above corr ectly, to start the dishwasher simply press the ST A RT/PAUSE button (4) for a few seconds until a b eep sounds (the PROGRAM STARTED light (5) starts to flash).
User instructions 16 TO SAVE ON ENERGY! … AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT • Always try to run the dishwasher fully loaded . • Do not wash the dishes in running w ater. • Use the washing progr am that is most appropriate for each type of load. • Do not carry out any preliminary rinsing.
User instructions 17 4. Operating instructions Once the dishwasher h as been correctly installed, prepare for us e as follows: • Adjust the water softening system; • Add the regenerating salt; • Add the rinse aid and deterge nt.
User instructions 18 • Do not use table salt as it contains insoluble substances which, over time, may damage the water softening system. • When necessary, refill the r ege nerating salt container before starting the washing progra m .

User instructions 20 ADDING THE RINSE AID The rinse aid he lps the dishes dry faster and prevents the formation of scale deposits and staining; it is automatic all y added to the water during the final rinse c ycle, from the container situated on the inner side of the door.
User instructions 21 ADDING THE DETERGENT To open the detergent dispenser cap, l ightly press the button P . Add the detergent and clos e the cap carefully.
User instructions 22 • "3/1" Products If you wish to use detergents which already contain salt and rinse aid, check whether your dis hwasher is fitted with the " 3/1 option button " on the " Controls description " page and then ref er to the section which explains how to use this funct ion.
User instructions 23 WARNING! • Make sure that the dishes are secu rely in place so that they cannot tip over or obstruct the rotati on of the spray arms during the washing cycle. • Do not place very small obj ects in the baskets as these could fall and obstruct the spray arms or the wash pump.
User instructions 24 4.4 Using the baskets The dishwasher has a capacit y of 12 place-settings , including servin g dishes. LOWER BASKET The lower basket receives the full force o f the lower spray arm, and should therefore be use d for the “t oughest” items with a heavier degree of soiling.
User instructions 25 LOADING THE LOWER BA SKET Carefully load flat plates, soup plates, dessert and serving dishes, positioning them vertically. Pots, pans and their covers m ust be loaded upside down. When l oading soup plates and dess ert bowls, be sure to leave a gap bet w e en them.
User instructions 26 UPPER BASKET It is recommended to load the upper bask et with small- or medium-sized items such as glass es, small plates, tea or coffee cups, shall ow bowls and light objec ts made from heat resistant plastic.
User instructions 27 Depending on the mode ls, the basket may be equipped with some or all of the following accessories: - Supports for cups or long ob jects (ladles, spoons…), on the left; can be tipped to the vertical position when not in use. - Long-stemmed glass holder, on t he left; to use, simply lift and fix onto the hooks provided.
User instructions 28 ADJUSTING THE UPPER BA S KET The height of the top b asket can be adjusted to al low large dishes or pans to be placed in the bottom basket. The adjustment procedure ma y be type A or B , depe nding on the dishwasher model purchased.
User instructions 29 5. Cleaning and maintenance Before carrying out any work, a lways unplug the appliance from the electrical supply or switch off the all-pole disconnection device. 5.1 General warnings and recommendations Avoid the use of acidic or abrasi ve detergents.
User instructions 30 CLEANING THE FILTER UNIT • It is advisable to periodic ally inspect the centre filter C and, if necessary, to clean it. To remove the filter, grip th e tabs, turn them anticlock.
User instructions 31 BEFORE STARTING THE DISHWASHER AFTER PROLONGED DISUSE: • Check that there are no deposits of sludge or rust inside t he water pipe: if there are, allow the water to run from the water supp ly tap for a few minutes. • Plug the power cord back into the socket.
