Intr oduction Congratulations on your purchase of the GN Netcom Orator -G headset. This guide contains instructions for the Orator -G OG-I and OG-II headsets. T o derive maximum benefit fr om these products, please take a few minutes to r eview this user’ s guide.
1 Orator -G W earing Position the headset lightly on your head (see Figure 3). The click-stop headband lengthens and shortens to the desired length for a custom fit (pull to lengthen, push to shorten). The headband retains its length and will not need adjusting each time it is put on.
2 Micr ophone P ositioning T o take advantage of the noise canceling qualities of the microphone, position the Orator -G headset with the flat side of the microphone, marked with an F , facing you. The microphone boom should be adjusted so that the micr ophone is approximately one finger width away fr om your lower lip (see Figure 5).
3 Connecting to Y our T elephone An amplifier is often needed to connect the headset to the telephone or telephone system. For these applications, the headset is equipped with a Quick Disconnect plug which mates to a Quick Disconnect jack on the amplifier .
4 Cautionar y Notes to Computer Users When using any headset with a computer , care should be taken in dry or low humidity environments to protect the user fr om electrostatic dischar ge from the monitor (CR T).
