4 1. Unplug iron. Using a cup, slowly pour 6 ounces ( 3 ⁄ 4 cup) of tap water into water tank opening. Do not fill iron directly from the faucet. 2. Plug iron into outlet. 3. Turn the Temperature Control Dial to desired fabric setting in the steam range.
5 Fabric Setting Chart Ironing Instructions Dry iron using spray if necessary. Dry iron on the wrong side of the fabric. Use a press cloth and steam iron on the wrong side of fabric. Iron while fabric is still damp. Iron using spray if necessary. For cotton, iron while still damp or use spray.
6 Quick Storage Shield – There is no need to wait for the iron to cool before storing. Make sure the iron has been turned off and unplugged. Then, place the Quick Storage Shield on the iron immediately after ironing. CAUTION: The soleplate may be hot, so care must be used in placing the Quick Storage Shield on the soleplate.
