1 Installing the Phone Installing the Handset Batter y NOTE: Y ou must connect the handset batt ery before use. CAUTION: T o r educe the risk of re or personal injury, use only the Thomson Inc. approved Nickel-metal Hy dride (Ni-MH) battery model 5-2734, that is compatible with this unit .
1 Installing the Base/Photo Frame 1. Insert the legs of the metal stand into the holes on the bottom of the base, push until they snap into place. . Choose an ar ea near an electrical outlet and a telephone wall jack (RJ11C), and place your cordless telephone on a lev el surface, such as a desktop or tabletop, or you may mount it on the wall.
14 Changing the Photo Frame Detaching the Photo Frame; Push on the tabs gently until they pop loose. Attaching the Photo Frame; Align the frame (refer to the markings on the back of the frame for the correct placement) and gently snap onto the base.
15 Programming the Photo Frame Specications: The Photo Frame is compatible with SD and XD memory cards, or Sony memory sticks (Sony MS compatible ONL Y with an SD adaptor), JPEG Image le formats and has an Internal Memory capacity of MB (approx.

4 Language From the Setup HS Menu: 1. Use the c i d/vol ( 3 or 4 ) button to scr oll to the Language sub-menu. . Pr ess the menu button to enter the menu. . Use the cid/vol ( 3 or 4 ) button to select English , Français or Espanol . The default setting is English .
5 NOTE: When the handset is in the idle (off ) mode and is out of range from the base unit the display shows Sear ching . If the talk/call back button is pressed, the screen briey displays Unavailable then returns to Searching . Key T one - Y ou may set the key tone to “On” or “Off ” to sound a tone when you press any button.

8 De-Registration Deregistration cancels r egistration. During the deregistration pr ocess, keep the handset near the base. W ARNING: It is not r ecommended that a handset be deregistered unless absolutely necessary because once a handset is deregistered, that handset’s telephone features cannot be used until the handset is re-r egistered.
9 Answering Calls 1. When the phone rings, pr ess the talk/call back button. . When nished, press the talk/call back button or put the handset back into the cradle to hang up. NOTE: If y ou have turned the Auto Talk function on, you can pick up the handset from the base to answer the incoming call directly, without pressing any buttons.

4 Call Waiting Caller ID Pro vid ed yo u subscribe to Call Waiting Caller ID service from your phone company; if you receiv e an incoming call and you ar e using the GE multi handset system, a beep indicates the presence of a Call Waiting call on the line.
