When you enter the two street names and a city , and the find feature matches that data with intersections in the map database.

GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual 27 B ASIC O PERA TION > Wrap When Full —when selected, the track log records over the oldest data with new data. Record Method — Distance records track points after a specified distance is traveled. Time creates track points after a specified time has elapsed.
28 GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual B ASIC O PERA TION > 4. Select No , and press ENTER to save only a portion of the track log. A map showing the entire track appears 5. Use the ROCKER to move the pointer to the point on the track line that you want to be the beginning point, and press ENTER .

32 GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual B ASIC O PERA TION > Methods of navigating to a destination • If you select the Go T o button on the W aypoint Page or other Find Menu items, the GPSMAP 60Cx creates a straight path (point to point) from your current location to that location.
GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual 33 B ASIC O PERA TION > the Routing Setup Page increases the number of turns and shows an Active Route Page with a list of turns. If you selected the Off Road option you can view only the list of points for a route from the Active Route Page.

GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual 37 M AIN P AGES > M AIN P AGES The GPSMAP 60Cx has six main pages: Satellite Page, T rip Computer Page, Map Page, Compass Page, Altimeter Page, and the Main Menu. Y ou can cycle through these pages by pressing the P AGE key to move forward or pressing the QUIT key to reverse.
38 GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual M AIN P AGES > Satellite Page The Satellite Page shows the receiver status, satellite locations, satellite signal strength, and the receiver ’ s current location when the unit receives signals from at least three satellites.
GPSMAP 60Cx Owner ’s Manual 39 M AIN P AGES > Map Page The GPSMAP 60Cx comes with a built-in basemap that includes a database of cities, interstates, state and county highways, exit information, and lake and river outlines. The standard basemap can be enhanced using MapSource or BlueChart data.

Symbol Set— select the symbol set to use (Auto, GARMIN, NOAA, International). Measuring Distance Y ou can measure the distance between two map items.

This is useful when the map is zoomed to a scale that is partially obscured by titles and icons that remain the same size regardless of the map scale.
