1 Fujitsu Computer Systems This user’ s guide contains inform ation on your battery charger. W e strong ly recommen d tha t you rea d this guide b efore us ing the battery charger even if you are already familiar with computers.
2 Charge Indicator LEDs The Charge Indicat ors show the c ondition of the battery being charged. T able 1 on page 3 shows the LED c olor and its r elation to the charging status. Battery Connector 1 Battery connector 1 is used to c onnect a battery to the charge r .
3 The P ower Indicator LED is on when the batte r y charger is connected to a plugged-in A C adapter . The two Charge Indicator LEDs show the charging status of the battery connected to the charger or the co ndition of the c harger itself, as shown in T able 1.
4 The following items can affect the batt ery charger’ s performance: • After a battery has been charging for a period (as noted below ), the battery charger will stop c harging (regardless of the charge level) and the Charge Indic ator LED will turn green.
5 6. The Charging Indicat or LED(s) will turn orange when the battery(s) is being char ged. 7. The Charging Indicator LED(s) will turn green when charging is completed. Figure 2. Connecting the AC Adapter • The charger can have two batteries con- nected at t he same t i me, but it charges only one at a time.

Connecting the battery • Nev er connect the battery charger to a ph ysically defective battery or use a defective charger . • When the battery charger is not being used for charging, be sure to disco nnect the AC adapte r and remov e any battery connected to the charger to av oid the chance of fir e or equipment failure.
