Y our BIOS is set a t the f actory for normal operating co nditio ns, therefor e there is no n eed to set or change the BIOS en vironment to operate your notebook.

4 LifeBo ok P Series BIOS Primary Ma ster: Selects Primar y Master submenu –— Displays the type of dev ice on this A T A/A T A PI interface, if there is one. Pressing the Enter ke y selects the Primary M aster submenu allowing additional de vice configuration options for this interface.

6 LifeBo ok P Series BIOS Sec tors : • A number between 0 and 63 –— This item appears only when the type is identified as Hard Disk. When Hard D isk is selected, you can change the value. This field is changed by incrementing (pressing the [Spa cebar]) or by typing in the number .

8 LifeBo ok P Series BIOS Exiting from Main Menu W hen you ha ve finished setting the parameters on this menu, y ou can either exit fr om the setup utility , or move to another menu. If you wish to exit from the setup utilit y , press the [ Esc ] key or use the cursor keys to go to the Exit menu.

15 IRQ Re servat ion Submenu of the PC I Configurations Submenu The IRQ R eser vation submenu of the PCI Configurations submenu allows the user to mar k various IRQs as reserved for use by legacy ISA devices. When an IR Q is reserved, the BIOS does not use it for embedded PC I or ISA devices.

31 Discard Changes –— Selecting Discard Changes will load the previous values in BIO S memory for all menu fields. The message Load previous now? [Yes] [No] will be dis played. When confirmed the set up utility will return to the E xit menu. T o return to another menu, fol- low the directions in the Navigating Through The Setup Utility section.
