38 4.1 Administrator Screens via the T ouch Panel On the touch panel screens (administrator), when one of the top me nu tabs is selected, the related function tabs are displayed on the left side menu. 48 4. Press the [Next] button for the fi Network Scanner Admin Tool download. The fi Network Scanner Adm in Tool download screen appears. 5. Press the [Download] button. The "File Download - Security Warning" dialog box appears. ATTENTION Downloading is not possible while an ad ministrator or user operation is being process ed.

54 1. From the [Start] menu, point to [All Programs]-[fi-scanner V2 ], and then select [fi Network Scanner Admin Tool]. The Admin Tool is started. 2. Specify the "Connect to" (of the scanner). Enter the IP address, scanner name, or FQDN for the scanner to be setup or managed.

58 5. Trace a line on the screen with your fingertip. A corresponding line will appear on-screen. If the line does not appear correctly, press the [Calib screen] button to return to Step 4 . If the screen becomes cluttered, pre ss the [C LR screen] button to remove all the lines.
4.6 Using the System Settings Menus fi-6010N Network Scan ner Operator's Guide 59 4 4.6.2 Setting the Scanner Name A scanner name may be set to provide a network alias for the de vice. 1. Select the [System Settings] tab on the top menu. 2. Select the [Scanner Name] tab on the left side menu.
60 4. S pecify the scanner as a workgroup or domain member . z For a workgroup Press the [Workgroup] button, and enter a workgroup name. Workgroup names may be u p to 15 characters long. The default name is "WORKGROUP". z For a domain Press the [Domain] button and enter a domain name.

64 4.6.5 Setting the Date/Time 1. Select the [System Settings] tab on the top menu. 2. Select the [Date/Time] tab on th e left side menu. The "Date/Time" screen appears, with the date/time of the screen display shown in [Date/Time].

66 4.6.6 Setting the Time to Standby Mode The scanner can be set to automatically log out an d then enter a standby state after specified peri- ods of non-use. For any screen after regular user login, if no operations have be en perfo rmed for the specified "Logout after" period of time, the sca nner automatically logs the user out.

68 4.6.7 Setting the Login Method The login settings are as follows. z Automatic login settings Set the scanner to automatically login withou t displaying the "Log in" screen, when the scanner power is switched on or restarted. For automatic login, the user na me and password speci fied in the "Login Settings" screen is used.
4.6 Using the System Settings Menus fi-6010N Network Scan ner Operator's Guide 69 4 4. Enter a user name and password . User name and password can only be se t if the [On] button was selected in St ep 3 . The scanner follows the Active Directory user name format when authenticating the user login.
