12 LifeBook C Series Notebook - S ection Two BATTERY CHARGING INDICATORS Located to the left of each of the Batte r y Level indicators is a small arrow symbol. This symbol sta tes whether that specific battery is charging . This indicator will flash if the battery is too hot or cold to charge.

33 User Installable Features Lithium ion Battery Y our LifeBook notebook has a Lithium ion battery that pro vides power for operating your notebook when no external po wer source is a vailable. The battery is dur able and long lasting , but should not be exposed to extreme temperatures, high voltages, chemic als or other ha zards.

Once your notebook goes into Dead Battery Suspend mode you will be unable t o resume operation until y ou pro vide a source of power either fr om an adapter , or a charged battery .

51 T roubleshooting The Optical Drive A ccess indicator on the Status Indicator P anel blinks at regular intervals w hen no disc is in the tray or the optical drive is not installed. The auto inse r tion function is activ e and is checking to see if a disc is ready to run.

53 T roubleshooting Pow e r F a i l ur e s Y ou turn on y our LifeBook notebo ok and nothing seems to happen. The installed primar y batter y is completely disc harged, there is no modular bay battery installed or there is no P ower adapter (A C or Au to/Airline) installed.

56 LifeBook C1400 Series Notebook - Section Five The display has bright or dark spots. If the spots are v er y tiny and few in number , this is normal for a large L C D display . This is normal; do nothing. If the spots are numer ous or large enough to interfe re with your operation needs.
