FINEPIX JZ200/JZ100 Series DIGITAL CAMERA Owner’ s Manual Thank you for y our purchase of this product. This manual describes how to use your FUJIFILM digital camera and the supplied software. 6 F irst Steps First Steps Charging the Battery Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the batter y before use . 1 Place the batter y in the supplied battery charger . Inser t the batter y in the orientation indicated by the CBD labels.

14 First Steps T urning the Camera on and Off Q F orcibly obstructing the lens could cause damage or product malfunction. Q F ingerprints and other marks on the lens can affect pic tures. Keep the lens clean. Q The ON/OFF button does not completely end the supply of power to the camera.
15 First Steps Basic Setup Basic Setup A language -selection dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Set up the camera as described below (you can reset the clock or change languages at any time using the F DA TE/TIME or L a options in the setup menu; for inf ormation on displaying the setup menu, see page 64).

The camera automatically analyzes the composition and adjusts settings ap- propriately .

If the camera is unable to focus , focus on another subject at the same distance and use focus lock to recompose the photog raph.

P ress the selec- tor up or down to choose an exposure compensa- tion value and then press MENU/OK .

26 More on Photography N N Using the F lash (Intelligent F lash) Using the F lash (Intelligent F lash) When the flash is used, the camera ’ s Intelligent F lash system instantly analyzes the scene based on such factors as the brightness of the subject, its position in the frame, and its distance from the camera.

38 Movies Recording Movies R Befor e recor ding, select a frame size using the W MOVIE MODE option in the shooting menu. Select h 1280 (1280 × 720) for an aspect ratio of 16 : 9 (High Defi- nition), f (640 × 480) to r ecord standard definition movies , or g (320 × 240) for longer movies.

41 Connections Printing P ictures via USB Printing P ictures via USB If the printer suppor ts PictBridge, the camera can be connected directly to the printer as shown below and pictures can be printed without first being copied to a computer . Note that depending on the printer , not all the functions described below may be supported.
42 Connections Printing Pictures via USB 6 Pr ess MENU/OK to star t printing. Printing can be interrupted by pr essing DISP/BACK , but note that some printers ma y not respond immediately . I f the printer stops befor e printing is complete, turn the camera off and then on again.
43 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a digital “print order” for P ictBridge -compatible pr inters ( P 72) or de - vices that suppor t DPOF .
