This description explains how to attach the strap using the clip attaching tool provided to make attaching the metal strap clip easier.

At that point, the AF frame on the screen becomes smaller and the camera sets the shutter speed and aperture (The indicator lamp (green) stops blinking and remains lit).

40 41 Advanced Features N PROGRAMMED AUTO STILL PHOTOGRAPHY FUNCTIONS Set the Mode dial to “ N ”. This is an automatic mode that allows you to specify any of the settings other than the shutter speed and aperture.

46 47 Advanced Features d Forced flash Use this mode to photograph backlit scenes, such as a subject against a window or in the shade of a tree, or to obtain the correct colors when shooting under lighting such as fluorescent lamps. In this mode, the flash fires in bright as well as dark conditions.
48 49 Advanced Features Use this button when you are shooting pictures of a moving subject. Using Continuous AF mode reduces the time required for focusing. Set the Focus mode selector switch to “C-AF”. 1 2 Frame the shot so that the subject fills the center of the image or the entire AF frame.
