This manual describes how to use your FUJIFILM digital camera and the supplied software. 10 First Steps Inser ting the Batteries and a Memory Card • Movie recording may be int errupted with some types of SD/SDHC memor y card. Use a G card or better when shooting HD movies . • F ormatting a memory card in the camera creates a folder in which pictures ar e stored .
11 First Steps T urning the Camera on and Off T urning the Camera on and Off Shooting Mode Shooting Mode Pr ess the ON/OFF button to turn the camera on. The lens will extend and the lens cover will open. Pr ess ON/OFF again t o turn the camera off .
12 First Steps T urning the Camera on and Off Q F orcibly obstructing the lens could cause damage or product malfunction. Q F ingerprints and other marks on the lens can aff ect pictures. Keep the lens clean. Q The ON/OFF button does not completely end the supply of power to the camera.

Set up the camera as described below (you can reset the clock or change languages at any time using the F DA TE/TIME or L a options in the setup menu; for inf ormation on displaying the setup menu, see page 65).

Use of a tripod is recommended to assist in composing overlap- ping shots. The camera zooms all the way out and zoom remains fi xed at the widest angle until shooting is complete.

41 Movies Recording Movies R Before recor ding, select a frame size using the O QU ALITY option in the shooting menu. Select h 1280 (1280 × 720) for an aspect ratio of 16 : 9 (H igh Defi nition), f (640 × 480) to record standard defi nition movies , or g (320 × 240) for longer movies.

Note that depending on the printer , not all the functions described below may be supported.

46 Connections Printing Pictures via USB Printing the DPOF Print Order Printing the DPOF Print Order The K PRINT ORDER (DPOF) option in the playback menu can be used to create a digital “print order” for P ictBridge -compatible pr inters ( P 74) or de - vices that suppor t DPOF .
