2 1-5. Maintenance, service and faults The UPS system operates wit h hazardous voltages. Repa irs may be carried out only by qualified maintenance personnel.
3 2. Installation and setup NOTE: Before installation, please inspect t he unit. Be sure that nothing inside the package is damaged. Please keep t he original package in a saf e place for f uture use. NOTE: There a re two diff erent t ypes of online UPS: standa rd a nd long-run mod els.
4 8. Output circuit break e r 9. Output terminal 2-2. Setup the UPS Step 1: UPS input connection Plug the UPS into a two-pole, three -wire, grounded recept a cle only . Avoid using extension cords. The power cord is supplied in t he UPS packag e. Step 2: UPS output connection For socket -type outputs, simply connect devices to the ou tlets .
5 Step 5: Install software For optimal computer system protection, install UPS monitoring software t o fully configure UPS shutdown. Y ou may insert provided CD into CD-ROM to install the monitoring software. If not, please follow steps b elow to download and install monitoring software from the internet: 1.
6 3. Operations 3-1. Button operation Button Function ON/Mute Button Turn on the UPS: Pre ss and hold ON/Mute button for at least 2 secon ds to turn on the UPS. Mute the a larm: When the UPS is on ba ttery mod e, press and hold this button for at least 5 seconds to disa ble or e nable the alarm system.
7 Display Function Remaining backup time information Indicates the remaining backup time in pie chart. Indicates th e remaining ba ckup time in numbers. H: hours, M: minute, S: se cond Fault information Indicates that the warning and fault occurs. Indicates the warning and fault codes, a nd the codes are listed in details in 3-5 section.

13 4. Troubleshoo ting If the UPS s ystem does not oper ate correctly , please solve the problem by using the table below. Symptom Possible cause Remedy No indication and alarm even though the mains is normal. The AC input power is not connected well.

15 5. Storage and M aintenance Operation The UPS system contains no user -serviceable parts. If the battery s ervice life (3~5 years at 25° C ambient temperature) has been exceeded, the batteries mus t be replaced. In this case , please contact your dealer.
