3 Y our dishwasher cleans b y spra ying a mixture of hot w ater and detergent through the spra y ar ms against soiled surfaces. Each cycle begins with a pre-drain. Next, the dishwasher fills with water cov ering the filter area. W ater is then pumped through the filter and spr a y arms.

6 Operating Instructions (continued) Status Indicator Lights When the ADD-A-DISH light is on, you can add additional items. The W ASHING light comes on at the beginning of cycle and remains on until the end of the main wash. The RINSING light will come on and remain on during the last two rinses of all cycles.
7 Preparing and Loading Dishes (continued) Loading the T op Rack Important: Do not cover the funnel when loading. The upper rack is designed for flexibility in loading a wide variety of items including cups, glasses, stemware, small plates, bowls, etc.
8 Preparing and Loading Dishes (continued) Utility Basket The utility basket has two dividers that can be opened to hold longer items or closed for small items like measuring spoons, bottle stoppers, etc. The co vers on each end can be f olded down out of the way or closed to keep small items inside.

F or saf ety , load shar p knives and f orks with handles up . Be sure nothing protrudes through bottom of basket or rack to block the spray arm.
10 Dishwasher Dispenser & Detergents • Use only fresh automatic dishwashing detergent. Other types will cause oversudsing. • Add detergent just before star ting cycle. • Store detergent in a cool, dry location. Moist or caked detergent will not dissolve proper ly .
11 Dishwasher Dispenser & Detergents (continued) Rinse Aid Rinse aid greatly improves drying and reduces water spots and filming. W ater "sheets" off dishes rather than forming water droplets that cling and leave spots.
12 Care and Cleaning Overfill Protector — keeps dishwasher from overfilling and is located in the left front cor ner of the tub . • Clean occasionally with household cleaner containing vinegar or bleach to dissolve any b uildup . • Overfill Protector should move up and down freely about one inch.
13 Care and Cleaning (continued) Property Damage Hazard F reezing temperatures ma y cause w ater lines to rupture. Be sure all supply lines to and circulating lines within dishwasher are protected. F ailure to do so could result in proper ty damage. Winterizing A dishwasher left in an unheated place should be protected from freezing.
