Cables or wiring that obstruct or hang up on places such as the steering wheel, gear lever , brake pedals, etc.
4 Español Français English CAUTION CONNECTIONS OF POWER SUPPL Y TERMINAL ● Before connecting the power supply wire to the unit, be sure to remove the negative (–) terminal of the vehicle’ s battery .
5 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English INST ALLA TION Due to the high power output of the MRD-M1005/ MRD-M605, considerable heat is produced when the amplifier is in operation. For this reason, the amplifier should be mounted in a location which will allow for free circulation of air , such as inside the trunk.
6 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English CONNECTIONS Before making connections, be sure to turn the power off to all audio components. Connect the yellow battery lead from the amp directly to the positive (+) terminal of the vehicle's battery . Do not connect this lead to the fuse block.
7 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English 1 Speaker Output T erminals The MRD-M1005/MRD-M605 has one set of speaker outputs. Be sure to observe correct speaker output connections and phasing. Connect the positive output to the positive speaker terminal and the negative to negative.
8 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English Cautions on wire lead connections When using third-party wire cables (power supply wire), use the supplied hex screws and the hex wrench (included) to simplify the connection. Refer to the description below for the proper procedure.
9 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English HOW TO REMOVE OR A TT ACH THE TOP COVER • There are adjustment switches and buttons under the top cover . • When adjusting, remove the top cover . After adjusting, it is necessary to reattach the top cover to its former position.
10 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English SWITCH SETTINGS 8 Crossover Frequency Adjustment Knob Permits adjustment of the crossover frequency , by rotating the knob to select any frequency between 30 to 200 Hz as the crossover point. 9 Lowpass Filter Slope Selector Switch The Lowpass Filter slope can be set for either 12dB/oct.

12 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English ADJUSTING THE INPUT LEVEL • Adjust the input level of the amplifier to match the output of the connected head unit. 1. Press the MODE button until “ GAIN ” is displayed. 2. Press the DN/UP button to adjust the input level.
13 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English TO DISPLA Y THE CROSSOVER FREQUENCY • The Crossover Frequency , previously set with the Crossover Frequency Adjustment Knob, can be displayed. 1. Press the MODE button until “ Hz ” is displayed. The Crossover Frequency is displayed.
14 Espa ñ ol Fran ç ais English IN CASE OF DIFFICUL TY Indication Cause and Solution • The amplifier has been shutdown due to excessive heat. The amplifier is automatically reset. • The indicator will disappear when the temperature returns to within operation range.
