21 3.13 Uncertain Spellings If you are uncertain about how to spell a word , type the por tion of the word you do know , and type a question mark (?) in place of each unknown letter . T ype an asterisk (*) to stand for an y missing portion of a word, including prex es, suxes, spac es, symbols, or an y number of letters.

23 3.15 H ighlighting W ords Another way to look up w ords in the dictionaries is by highlighting them in an entry. Note: this f eature may not be available on all screens . 1. 24 3.17 Hints on Inputting W ords The following instructions apply to all entry screens where word input is allowed. N ote: Some entr y screens may allow only certain types of charac ter inputs. • Hold and press a letter key to type a capital letter .
25 4. LEARN Menu 4.1 Merriam-W ebster’ s V ocabular y Builder This featur e helps you enhance your vocabulary with explanations and quizzes. 1. In the Learn menu, press / to select “Merriam-W ebster ’ s V ocabulary Builder ” and then press OK / .

27 4.3 About Eur o T alk Euro T alk is a language-learning program which contains three modules: T alk More, T alk the T alk and T alk Business. All modules support English and Spanish and up to 10 users with their own history and records .

52 8.7 Using the T ouch Screen The screen of the device is t ouch- sensitive. Y ou can use your nger or a stylus (not included) to use the touch screen. Note: The instruc tions in this user ’ s guide are for oper ations through buttons only though many icons , buttons and headwords can be selected or operat ed on the touch screen.
