4 Installation 4.1 Lead Wire Identification The 5623A PR T is equipped with a four-wi re cable (see Figure 1). Four lead wires are used to cancel lead wire resistance. For best results, the readout de - vice should be equipped to handle four -terminal resistors.
5 PR T Care and Handling Guidelines 5.1 PR T Care CA UTION: READ THIS SECTION BEFORE REMOVING THE PRT FR OM THE SHIPPING BOX OR CASE Care must be taken i n handling the PR T to maintain calibration accuracy . Care should still be used when handling the PR T ev en though the Inconel sheath is durable and provi des good protection for the sensor .

6 Operation 6.1 General For best results, be familiar with the operatio n of the heat source and the read-out instrument. Be sure to follo w the manufacturer’ s instructions for the read-out instrument and the heat source.
