• Locate the batter y compar tment door on the tab le top . • Loosen the screws in the battery compar tment door with a Phillips scre wdriver . Remov e the batter y compar tment door . • Inser t three “C” (LR14) alkaline bat- teries, as indicated inside the bat- ter y compar tment.
3 • Do not mix old and new batteries. • Do not mix diff erent types of batter ies: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeab le (nic k el-cadmium). • Remov e the batter ies during long per iods of non-use. Alwa ys remov e e xhausted batter ies from the to y .
4 • Lift the table top off the tab le base and remov e the legs from the tra y area. • P osition the tab le base upside-down on a flat surf ace. • P osition a leg upside down with the “X” and swirl patter ns f acing you. • Fit the end of the leg into the cor ner of the table base , as shown.
5 • P osition another leg upside down with the star and hear t f acing you. • Fit the end of the leg into the cor ner of the table base , as shown. • Press fir mly to fit the raised circle on the end of the leg into the large hole in the tab le base.
