I ntroducing your cooktop/hob Now that your new cooktop is installed and ready to use, you will want to know ever ything about it to ensure excellent results r ight from the star t. This book let will introduce you to the features and special talents of your cooktop/hob.
T emperature control 1 Choose the control k nob for the bur ner you want to use. 2 P ress down and tur n the k nob anti- clock wise all the way to the high symbol. Hold down the k nob for 5 seconds until the burner lights. All the igniters will spark until the gas ignites on the selec ted bur ner .
Inspiration Make a delicious fruit compote by simmering r hubarb in sugar and water until tender . When cool, add fresh strawberr ies. Ser ve chilled. C o o k w a r e Using a wok When using a wok on the centre burner , simply turn over the pan suppor t. One side provides a flat sur face for flat based pots while the other side has stems specifically designed to suppor t a wok .
Using the sk illet/griddle (optional ex tra) Y our sk illet will offer you a quick , hot method of cooking which is ideal for tender cuts of meat, panini, chargrilled vegetables, pik elets and pancakes.

Cleaning Apply soapy water with a soft sponge or cloth only when the cooktop is cool. Soak ing stubborn stains under the soapy cloth for a few minutes will help make them easier to remo ve. Do not use steel soap pads as this may dull the appearance of the appliance over time.
Titan models The Flip top wok suppor t goes in the centre over the wok bur ner . T he other t wo pan suppor ts are interchangeable but need to be rotated to match the rounded cor ners of the base inser t. Jet models The pan suppor ts above the wok burner are differ ent from the other bur ners.
