2 Safety and warnings W ARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard If the ceramic glass cooktop surface becomes crack ed, switch the appliance off at the mains pow er supply and call an Authorised Service Agent. Alway s disconnect the cooker from the mains electricity supply before carrying out any maintenance operations or r epairs.
3 Electrical This cooker is to be installed and c onnected to the electricit y supply only by an authorised person. If the installation requires alterations to the domestic electrical system, call a qu alified electrician. The electrician should also check that the elec trical system is suitable for the electricity drawn by the cooker .
4 Operation Y our freestanding cooker has been car efully designed to operate safely during normal c ooking procedures . 8 Dimensions and clearances The cooker must be installed no less than 50 mm awa y from any side walls which ex ceed the height of the cooktop . The cabinetry surrounding the cooker must be made of heat-resistant material and must be able to withstand temperatures of 65 °C abov e room temperature .

22 Cooking functions OVEN LAMP Only the oven light comes on. It remains on in all the cooking functions. BAKE The upper and lower heating elements c ome on. BAKE is the traditional method of cooking. It is best to cook on only one shelf at a time in this function.

29 Aut omatic cooking T o set the oven for aut omatic cooking 1 Set the oven Check the clock shows the corr ect time (eg 12:07). Select the func tion and set the temperature. T he oven will turn on. 2 Set the cooking time Decide how long the food will take to c ook, allowing time f or preheating if necessary (eg 40 minutes).

31 Induc tion cooktop intr oduc tion Cooking zones display The ceramic cooktop is fitt ed with induction cook ing zones. These circular zones ar e controlled by separate dials positioned on the control panel below . At the front, is the display f or the cooking zones (one for each zone).
32 Choosing the right cookware 1 1 3 2 Impor tant! Only use cookware with a base suitable for induction cooking . Look for the induction symbol on the packaging or the bottom of the pan. Y ou can check whether your cookware is suitable by c arrying out a magnet test.
33 Choosing the right cookware Impor tant! the cooking zones will not operate if the pan diameter is too small ( will appear on the cooking zone display). T o correctly use the cooking zones follow the indic ations given in the following table. Note: some types of pans can cause noise when used on an induction cooking zone.
34 Using y our induction cooktop Control dials Each cooking zone is activated by a separate control dial positioned on the contr ol panel. The functions are arranged on the actual dial itself.
35 Using y our cooktop ’ s special featur es Using the Aut o Heat-reduce f eature This feature is available on all the c ooking zones T urn the control dial anti-clock wise to the ‘ A’ setting and then release the dial (after the ‘ beep ’); the symbol lights up on the corresponding c ooking zone display .
36 Using y our cooktop ’ s special featur es Maximum usable power f or the cooking zones The right and left cooking zones are controlled by two separate power boar ds and the maximum total power per each power board is 3700 W .
37 Heat settings The settings below are guidelines only . The exact setting will depend on several factors, including your cookware and the amount you ar e cooking.
38 Impor tant! Before you start cleaning your cooker , please: Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and warnings’ section at the start of this user guide. T urn the cooker off at the w all. Make sure the c ooker is a safe temperature to touch.
39 Car e and cleaning Caring for y our cooktop Impor tant! Some heavy- duty and nylon scourers can scratch the c eramic glass of your cooktop . Always read the label to check if your scourer is suitable for cleaning c eramic glass cooktops. Use ceramic glass cleaner on the c ooktop while it is warm to touch.
40 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the inside of your ov en Do not use oven cleaner on catalytic panels . Remove the catalytic panels if additional oven ca vity cleaning is required . See ‘Fitting and r emoving catalytic panels’ Do not use abrasive cleaners, cloths or pads to clean the enamel .
41 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the enamel cavity Clean the enamel on the inside of the oven when it has cooled do wn, using household detergents. Y ou may use ‘ off the shelf ’ oven cleaners , if you carefully follo w the manufacturers’ instructions.
42 Car e and cleaning Fitting and r emoving the sliding shelf supports When fitting the sliding shelf supports, make sure that you fit: the catalytic panels first. See ‘F itting the catalytic panels’ . the side racks the slides to the top wire of a shelf position both sides of each pair of slides both slides on the same level.

44 Car e and cleaning Replacing the oven light bulbs The oven light bulbs (12V/20 W halogen) have a very long life, but if y ou should need to replace one, use only a replac ement bulb purchased from your near est Fisher & P aykel dealer and follow these steps.
45 Car e and cleaning Removing and replacing the door glass panes f or cleaning. Make sure you follo w the precautions and instructions below very carefully . Replacing the glass panes and the door incorrectly may result in damage to the oven and may void your warranty .
46 Car e and cleaning Removing the door 1a T urn the oven off at the wall. Make sure you hav e prepared enough space f or resting the door and its glass panes on a clean, flat sur face. 1b Open the door to its full extent. 2 Open the levers on the left and right hinges to their full extent, as shown.
47 Car e and cleaning Remove the inner and middle glass pane 1 Press do wn on both tabs ( 1 ) to release the glass retainer ( 2 ). 2 Lift the inner pane (C) slightly ( 1 ), then gently slide out ( 2 ). 1 2 1 2 Glass retainer 3 Slide the middle pane (B) slightly towards yourself ( 1 ), then lift ( 2 ) and slide out ( 3 ).
48 Car e and cleaning 1 T ake the middle pane (B) and hold it firmly . Impor tant! Check you are holding the pane the correct w ay . Y ou should be able to read the wording on it as it fac es you. 2 Inser t the pane into the middle pair of groov es ( 1 ), push it slightly towards y ourself ( 2 ) and gently lower into place ( 3 ).
49 Car e and cleaning 1 2 3 D 3 T ake the inner pane (C), holding it with the angle -cut corner orientated as shown. Inser t it in the uppermost pair of groov es ( 1 ), push it slightly towards yourself ( 2 ) and gently lower into place ( 3 ).
50 Car e and cleaning 4 Position the glass r etainer , as shown. I t should sit on the bottom edge of the outer glass (A ). Check that the clamps of the glass retainer are not def ormed or damaged. 5 Gently push the glass retainer back into place . Y ou should be able to hear the tabs on both sides click as they lock the glass retainer in.
51 Cookt op fault codes Refit the door 1 Hold the door firmly . 3 Open the door to its full extent. 2 Inser t the hinge tongues into the slots, making sure that the notches on both sides drop into place as sho wn. 4a F ully close the levers on the left and right hinges, as shown.
