19 Using y our ov en Before using y our new oven, please: 1 Read this user guide, taking special note of the ‘Safety and warnings’ sec tion. 2 Remove all acc essories and packaging. Peel the pr otective film off all surfaces and accessories. 3 Set the clock.

When the oven has reached the set temperature the indicator and the temperature indicator light will go out. Note: these indicators may turn on and off during cooking as the oven maintains the set temperature.
22 Cooking functions OVEN LAMP Only the oven light comes on. It remains on in all the cooking functions. DEFROST this is not a cooking function Only the oven fan comes on. The fan circulates air around the o ven, speeding up the defrosting process by appr oximately 30%.
23 Cooking functions SELF CLEAN this is not a cooking function The oven heats t o a high temperature, r educing food residue to a fine ash that can be wiped out with a damp cloth. Impor tant! Safe food handling: leave food in the oven for as short a time as possible before and af ter cooking or defrosting.
24 Cooking guide Changing the oven fr om Celsius to F ahrenheit Y ou can set your oven t o display the temperature in F ahrenheit or Celsius. 1 Select a cook ing function. 2 While the display is flashing, pr ess to reduce the oven to the minimum temperatur e (120 o F / 50 o C).

26 Using the electronic timer Y ou can use the timer at any time, ev en when the oven is not in use . Impor tant! The timer does NO T turn the oven off .
27 Aut omatic cooking T o set the oven for aut omatic cooking Y ou can set the oven to aut omatically turn on later , cook for a pr eset time (cooking time), then automatically turn off at a preset stop time . Alternatively you can simply set the time of da y you wish to the ov en to turn off .

29 US CA Using y our cer amic glass cooktop Using the elements Using the single elements T o turn on a single element, push in and turn the dial clockwise or counter-clock wise to a setting between 12 (maximum) and 1 (minimum). Adjust the heat during cooking by turning the dial in either direction between 12 and 1.
30 2 US CA Using y our cer amic glass cooktop Tips f or using the elements The ‘Element on’ indicator light glows red whenever an element is on. After an element has been turned off , its ‘Hot sur face ’ indicator light will glow red until the element surface has cooled down to a temperature that is saf e to touch.
31 US CA Using y our cer amic glass cooktop Cookware tips Cooking results are influenced by pot quality and size . It is essential for the base of the pot to be smooth and sit flat against the glass. Also , pot size should match the diameter of the element.
32 Using the warming dr aw er Impor tant! The warming dr awer is for keeping c ooked food hot only . Do not use it to warm plates. Do not use as a storage drawer . Do not use it as a space heater . Do not use the warming draw er during a self clean cycle.
33 Using the w arming dra wer Reversible rack Y our warming drawer comes with a r eversible rack. Position the rack as shown. Reheating food Always re-heat food until piping hot befor e transferring to the warming draw er .
34 Car e and cleaning Impor tant! Before you start cleaning your cooker , please: Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and w arnings’ section at the star t of this user guide. T urn the cooker off at the wall . Make sure the c ooker is a safe temperature to touch.
35 Car e and cleaning Caring for y our cooktop Impor tant! Some heavy- duty and nylon scourers can scr atch the ceramic glass of your c ooktop. Always read the label to check if your scourer is suitable for cleaning c eramic glass cooktops. Use ceramic glass cleaner on the c ooktop while it is warm to touch.
36 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the inside of your ov en Note: if using the Self Clean function remove all shelves and side racks first. See ‘Using the Self Clean function’ .
37 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the enamel cavity Clean the enamel on the inside of the oven when it has cooled down, using household detergents . Dry with a sof t cloth.
38 Using the Self Clean function During the pyrolytic Self Clean cycle the extremely high temperature burns off and breaks down grime and grease deposits . All that is left is a small amount of grey ash that you can easily remove. Y ou can set the Self Clean cycle time between one and a half and three hours.
39 T o star t a Self Clean c ycle 1a Remove ov en shelves, side racks and all other acc essories, bakeware, and ut ensils. 1b Wipe up an y spills. F ailure to do so may discolour the oven surfaces.
40 3 Select the Self Clean Function The display will show The P will flash. 4 Adjust the cycle time (optional) Y ou may set the time between 1-1/2 hours (P1:30 and 3 hours (P3:00). F or heavy soiling use a longer time. Press the button - the P will go out.
41 Replacing the oven light bulb Use only a bulb suitable for high temperatur e (300 o C/ 572 o F) having the follo wing specifications: 120V , 60H z, E14 and the same power as the one y ou remove (this will be stamped on the bulb). 1 T urn off the power t o the range.
42 Car e and cleaning 2 2 3 Impor tant! Do not remove drawer while hot. Do not remove draw er during operation. Be sure drawer is empty before removing . Removing the warming dra wer 1 Open the drawer complet ely . 2 Push and hold the lever on the left guide down, and the lev er on the right guide up.
43 Car e and cleaning Removing the ov en door The oven door can easily be r emoved as f ollows: Open the door to its fullest extent. Open the lever “ A ” completely on the left and right hinges.
44 US CA T roubleshooting Problem Possible causes There is a metal sheen on the glass. This could be caused by cookware with a c opper or aluminium base.
45 US CA T roubleshooting Problem P ossible causes What to do The display flashes door (An alarm ma y also sound) The function dial has been turned to Self clean when the door is still open. The door has been opened after Self clean has been selected but before the o ven has been started.
46 T roubleshooting Problem P ossible causes What to do The display sho ws F000 or F00 1 The oven t emperature sensor is malfunctioning. The cooling fan will remains on and if the Self cleaning cycle is in process the door will remain locked. T urn the function dial to OFF .
