Y our Fisher & P aykel VentSurface is the ultimate in extractor hoods, giving you different modes and extraction speeds to suit your changing needs . Y our V entSur face can also operate and turn off automatically and alerts you when it needs cleaning.

8 Using y our V entSur face Choosing between normal and high pow er modes These two modes give y ou flexibility and optimum V entSur face per formance to suit your changing cooking activities.
9 Using y our V entSur face Using your V entSur face in automatic mode When the V entSur face is in automatic mode, its sensor will automatically turn the fan on, adjust its speed and turn the fan off as needed. T o illuminate your cooking area, press the button.
10 Using the timer (in manual mode only) When the timer is activated the V entSur face will run for 10 minutes and then turn off automatically . the selected fan speed will flash in the display while the timer is counting down. T o activate the timer 1 Select a fan speed bet ween “1” and “5” .
11 Car e and cleaning Impor tant! Always disc onnect the appliance from the mains electricity supply before carr ying out any servicing or maintenance. F ailure to do so may result in death or electrical shock. Do not let grease deposits accumulate on your V entSur face, as these could create a fire hazard .
12 T o replace the carbon filter 1 Stop/reset the carbon filter alert signal. I f “C” is flashing in the display alternately with the fan speed setting, turn the VentSurface off by pressing the button, then pr ess the and buttons simultaneously and hold down for five sec onds until you hear a beep.
13 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the stainless steel surfaces Do not use abrasive cleaners, cloths or pads to clean y our VentSurface. Wipe the stainless steel sur faces often, using warm water and a mild household detergent. The stainless steel may also be cleaned with a suitable cleaner and polish.
