3 The Allstar Standb y Power Suppl y is designed to provide back- up power to a gate operator w hen the main AC suppl y voltage is interrupted or disconnected. It el iminates the need for a separate motor and control ci rcuit to be m echanically attached to the gate operator.

5 Connecting the AC Lin e Voltage (Main Voltage) The SPS-50 is designed to provide back-up po wer to the gate operator ONLY. Aux iliary devices such as loop detectors, card readers, phone entry s ystems, et c., m ust NOT be co nnected to the output of the SPS-50.
6 Installing the Warning Labels The warning labels s hould be pl aced to notify service personnel that the gate operator is connected to a back -up power supply unit. Maintenance of Batteries Typical battery life should be two years, however this will vary depending on use and climate.
7 RISK OF ENTRAPMENT. THE SPS-50 IS DESIGNED TO PROVIDE POWE R TO A GATE OPER ATOR WHEN THE MAIN AC POWER I S TURNED OFF. A GATE OPERATOR CONNECTED TO THE SPS-50 MAY START UNEXPECTEDLY WHEN THE MAIN AC POWER IS TURNED OFF.
