10 Installation instructions F astening the cooktop to the bench 1 T urn the cooktop upside down and place it on a soft sur face. 2 Spread the seal around the edges , with the adhesive side facing down. 3 Mount the supplied front and rear clamps (R) and screw s (S) onto the cooktop , as shown (without tightening the screws).
11 Installation instructions Gas installation requirements Impor tant ! Before installation, make sure that the loc al distribution conditions (gas type and pressure) and the adjustment of this appliance are compatible . The appliance adjustment conditions are giv en on the plate or the label.
12 Installation instructions Gas Connection Note: Connection to the gas supply may be made using either a rubber hose (wher e permitted) or by using a flexible hose or rigid pipe. 13 Installation instructions Connecting the appliance to NA TURAL or TOWN GAS 1 If not already fitted, fit the NA TURAL/TOWN GAS hose holder on the inlet pipe , mak ing sure that you place the sealing washer between them (as shown in F ig. 5a). 2 Connect the appliance to the gas supply using a suitable rubber hose (internal diameter 13 mm).
14 After connecting the appliance to the gas supply , make sure that y ou check the piping and connections using a soapy solution. The presence of bubbles indicated a leak. T ighten or replace connectons as appropriate, then r echeck for leaks. Impor tant! Do not use any naked flame to check for leaks .
15 the flexible hose is not longer than 2000 mm (or refer t o applicable local regulations) and does not come into contact with sharp edges, corners , or moving parts, as these may cause abrasion. Use a single flexible hose only; never connect the appliance with more than one flexible hose.

23 Using y our cooktop Matching cookwar e to burner Use flat-bottomed pans, and make sur e they match the size of the burner , as shown in the following table . A small pot on a large burner is not efficient. Diameters of pans which may be used on the c ooktop Note Do not place large pots or heavy weights on the pan supports.
24 Using y our cooktop Do not place anything , e.g. flame tamer , asbestos mat, between pan and pan support as serious damage to the appliance may r esult. Do not remove the pan support and enclose the burner with a wok stand as this will concentrat e and deflect the heat onto the hotplate.
