The purpose of this booklet is to p rovide assembly, installation and operation informatio n c oncerning the herein described Residential Garage Door Op ener and rela ted A cc ess ory Pr oduc ts. NOTE: The Tee Rail/Chain Assembly is packaged s eparatel y from the Power Unit. Th e Inn er T roll ey h alf , Front Idler Sprocket, Chain, and Limit Cams are assembled on the Tee Rail at the factor y. Follow the steps outlined below to complete assembly prior to installation.

FRO NT MO UN TING BRAC KET MUS T BE I NS TALL ED TO A STRUCTURAL SUPPORT (STUD) ON THE HE ADER WALL. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD CAUSE SENSING SYSTEM TO MALFUNCTION, RESULTING IN ENT RAPMENT, INJURY OR DEATH. REINFORC E HEADER IF NECESSARY USING A 2 x 6 AND LAG SCREWS (NOT PROVIDED).
STEP 4: Mou nt Po wer Head to Ceiling: Since there is such variety in ceiling structures, all th e mounting possibilities for the Power Unit can not be illustrated here. The main c oncern is mounting the Power Unit securely to the ceiling joists for operational stren gth, rigidity and safety.
FIBERGLASS, ALUMINUM OR LIGHTWEIGHT STEEL GARA GE DOORS WILL RE QUIRE REINFORCEMENT BEFORE INSTALLATION OF DOOR MOUNTING BRACKET. CONTACT YOUR DOOR MANUFACTURER FOR A REINFORCEMENT KIT OR INSTRUCTIONS.
STEP 9 : Consult the label on the rear panel of the Open er to d et ermi ne i ts pr op er w ork in g volt a ge. Normally it will be mark ed for 115V, 60 c y c le operation. (If it is an export model designed for 220V, 50 cycle operation, the label will clearly indicat e this.
IN STA LLA TION OF A STAN DA RD WA LL PUSH BUTTON If desired, a standar d wall push button may be installe d and connected to your operator. A standard wall push button is not included in your hardware package, it can be purchased from your pr ofessional installing dealer or a door bell button [ without light] can be subs tituted.
STEP 4: Run the wire from the Super Station to the opener, supporting it at 18” int ervals with suitable staples. Leave a sufficient length to make the necessary conn ecti ons to th e op ener t ermina l st rip. WARNING: SOME LOCAL BUILDING CODES DO NOT ALLOW SURFACE WIRING.
Programmi ng the MVP Radio Recei v er in the Po wer Head U nit Your opener will “learn” up to eight code transmissions from preprogrammed transmitters. Locate the “Learn Enable” Button on the Super Station (Deluxe Wall Pushbutton Station). The button is located insid e a small hole on the front of the super station.

F. Using two (2) wire nuts (suppli ed), connect the wire ends at the SAFE F INISH™ Photosystem receiver to the pigtail wire ends coming ou t of the receiver unit. Although not required, it is recommended to connect the trace wire ends together and the unmarked wi re ends together.

STEP 1: Testing the Limit Settings: To che ck the Limit Settings, start the Opener by pushing th e standard wall Push Button or Super Station. Be prepared to activate the button again quickl y - per the Operating Parameters outlined ab ove - or if you see that the d oor is going to over travel.
