For added protection, install additional CO Alarms in each separate bedroom, and on every level of your home.
3 TO LOCK THE BA TTER Y COMP ARTMENT Do not lock the batter y compartment until you install the batteries and test the CO Alarm. If the unit does not alar m during testing, DO NOT lock the battery compartment! Install new batteries and test again. If the CO Alar m still does not alarm, replace it immediately .

USING THE SILENCE FEA TURES Never remove the batteries to quiet an unwanted alar m. Removing the batteries disables the alarm and removes your protection. The Silence Feature is intended to temporarily silence the horn while you identify and correct the problem.
