Page 4 15. Determine whether to use flat or angled bra cket. (Ref er to UV-Aire Configurations in Section III for aid in this decision) a. Flat Bracket Installation i. Remove the two hex nuts and flat bra cket from included bagged hardware. ii. Install the flat bracket a nd secure to the unit ba se with the hex nuts provided.
Page 5 18. Swing secu ring bracket over en d of lamp and h and-tighten the provided wi ng nut on stud. (See Figure 13) 19. Plug ballast plug into end of lamp and reconnect power supply. (See Figure 14) 20. Flip the red power switch to the on position.
Page 6 III. BULB MOUNTING BRACKET SEL ECTION AND INSTALLATION The UV-AIRE TM units come with an a ngled mounting bracket and flat mo unting bracket to position th e bulb either straight or at an angle. Cho ose one or the other br acket method be st suited for your needs.
Page 7 IV. MAINTENANCE 1. Inspect and clean lamp at least every 6 months. 2. Replace your UV-Aire™ Ai r Purifying System lamp once a year to maintain the lamps maximum output intensity. The lamp should operate continuously fo r maximum lamp life and light effectiveness.
Page 8 VIII. FLEX DUCT INSTALLATION For installations on duct system s with a metallic main duct an d flex duct branches , follow the instructions in figure 15 below. The health aspects associa ted with the use of these products and t heir ability to aid in disinfecting of environmen tal air have not been investiga ted by UL.
