10 THE CHARGING ADAPTOR Do not use the charging adaptor on any other appliance. Do not charge this vacuum cleaner with any other charger or charging adaptor. Use only the charging adaptor supplied with this appliance. Unplug the charging adaptor from the mains supply before starting any cleaning or maintenance procedures.
11 Electrical Safety WARNING! Read these electrical safety instructions carefully before connecting the charging adaptor to the mains supply. Do not leave your charging adaptor connected to the mains supply when not in use. This vacuum cleaner is supplied with a charging adaptor which has been designed for indoor use only.
12 CHARGING THE BATTERY 1- Before the first use, the battery must be charged for 15 hours. Before the first charge, the battery should be fully discharged. Operate the On/Off switch until the motor stops. Make sure that the On/Off switch is returned to the Off position.
13 USING THE PET PATROL ROTATING BRUSH HEAD WARNING! Do not touch the motorised brush head while it is rotating as this could cause personal injury. 1 To connect the rotating brush head, remove the cleaner from the wall mounting charging base. 2 Ensure that the cleaner is switched Off.
14 Cleaning and Maintenance CLEANING THE DUST BOWL AND FILTER The performance of the cleaner is dependant on the condition of the dust bowl and the filter. The dust bowl should be emptied and cleaned regularly. The filter should be regularly removed and washed in warm soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.
