Y ou should also follow this pr ocedure, in particular the safety pr ocedures and warnings, when replacing o r rem ov in g a P IC . Caution Y ou cannot install PICs into an A T -AR040 NSM that has pow er applied to it.
6 P or t Interface Card 7. Unpack the PIC. In an antistatic en vironment, r emov e the PIC from its packing material. Be sure to observe ESD pre cautions. Wa r n i n g Do not attempt to install a PIC or any other expansion option without observing corr ect antistatic pr ocedures.

8 P or t Interface Card Setting the ISDN T er ritor y Befor e you connect an A T- AR020 or A T- AR021 PIC to the ISDN network, check that the ISDN ter ritor y is set corr ectly for your r egion. 1. Installation an d Safety Guide 9 Do wnloading V oIP Firmwar e If you hav e installed an A T- AR027 V oIP PIC, you no w need to download and install the V oIP firmwar e onto your PIC. Befor e you begin, check that the PIC Err or LED on the PIC is off , and that the PIC has been recognised by your s witch or route r , using the sho w system command.
10 P or t Interface Card 6. Load the pr otocol image onto the PIC. T o load the protoc ol image, use the command: enable voip protocol={h323|sip} [engine={ engine }] The boot code loads th e protocol onto all A T- AR027 PICs unless y ou specify an individual PIC (engine).
