EVGA X79 Dark Motherboard 11 Preparing the Motherboard Installing the CPU Be very careful whe n handli ng the CPU. Hold the processor only by the e dges and do not touch the bottom of the processor. Use the following p r ocedure to install the CPU onto the motherboard: Unhook the left socke t lever by pushing down and away from the socket.
