1. Ov ervie w a. Introduction The EVGA EVBot is a fun and useful tool for tweaker s and overclocker s to have fu n tweaking their EVGA produ cts for benchmarking World Records and overclocking fun. It’s use is very simpl e and straigh tforward much like your mobile han d-phone.

c. Connections First Hook up the EV GA EVBot Enab led products to their respe ctive ports on the EVBot. As illu strated, MB P ort is for connecting Motherb oard, VGA1, VGA 2, VGA3 is for connecting t o 3 individual E VGA Video Cards. You do not need t o have all 4 items bu t any one of those.

EVGA GTX285 Classified You will see that the Port C onnector is a 5 pin c onnector arranged in 2 r ows, with 3 pins on 1 row and 2 pins on another. The Connector Cabl e has 5 holes with a 6 th blocked so there will be n o mistakes when connecting it.
2. Updating Firm w ar e When the Syste m starts up, EVBo t will light up and start to be operabl e. The Default Firmwa re on the EVBot when you receive i t is for EVGA X 58 Motherbo ards and Clas sified Video Cards. If you are using EVGA P55 Motherboard s, please fol low the next se t of instructi ons to upda te the firmware for P55 Motherboards.
2. Flash Tool will ask you to hold do wn the power but ton on your EVBot for 7 seconds to enter Flash Mode, th en click OK to start Flashin g. 3. Fl ash proce ss will take sev eral minutes, please be patient and do not turn off t he PC or reset dur ing this period! 4.
3. Using the EVBot After the EVBot Greeting screen, pr ess OK to enter main menu: To Make sure EV Bot controllin g does not con flict with the BIOS, only star t adjustments after the system is fully booted up . Now, you can ch oose the device y ou wish to contr ol first.
Here, you will s ee all the vo ltage Controls ove r the Motherboard, li ke what you have in the BI OS. Scroll dow n and up to see all the opti ons availabl e.
Once you have d ecided the v oltage you want t o apply, press OK at this mo ment. In the above, my target voltag e is 1.83v. You will see a confir mation respons e from EVB ot, Apply? To confir m, press OK now. You will see an O K! Response form EVBot once the voltage is actuall y applied.
Here you will see your curr ent CPU Host Frequency, 181MHz in the example. Pre ss Up or Down to increa se or decrease Frequency respec tively. I want to go to 18 6 so I press OK after Upin g to 186MH z. Again a confir mation is needed. Press OK to c onfirm or C to cancel.
Similarly for Cloc k Skew and others , adjust to prefer ence. Now let’s go int o Opt Boos ter. Opt Booster s tands for op timistic booster. A CPU maxing out at 5.2GHz in a 3D Mark Run may usually be able to run 5.24GHz for short durati ons in between, so this Artifi cial In telligence tries t o max max your CPU.
Now it is operating Level 3 Opt Bo oster. At any point of tim e you wish to s top this, just pres s C to cancel. So in the example above you see that I am bo osting up Host Frequ ency by 4MHz and stay there for 2 sec onds and going down 3 MHz and sta ying there f or 3 seconds and repe ating the action to and fro.
In the sub-menu, you will see 4 differ ent Voltage Adju stments, VCore for the GPU Core, V PLL for the P LL Clock Genera tor on the GPU, VDD f or GPU Me mory and VDDQ f or the GPU Me mory. To adjust any one of the voltag es, press OK to enter in to it.
Once the Voltage is applied, OK! M essage pops up. As you return to this menu from henc eforth, VPL L will show the current VPLL, which i s 1.27v. The volta ges are retaine d even with a rebo ot, until the next po wer down. To save profiles and load them easily and quickly, press the H otkey of your ch oice 1,2, 3 or 4.
