5 Range COOKTOP USE Cooktop Contr o ls Electric ign iters au tomatical ly light the su rface bur ners when control knobs are turned t o IGNITE. Before setting a control knob, p lace filled cookw ar e on the grat e. Do not operate a bur ner using empty cookware or while the grate is unoccupi ed.
6 Power failure In case of prolonged power failure, the surface bu rners ca n be lit manually . Hold a lit mat ch near a burner and t urn knob counter clockw ise to I GNITE. After bu rner lights, t urn knob to setti ng. Sealed Sur face Burners IMPORT AN T : Do not obstruct the flow of combustion and ventilat ion air around the bur ner grate edge s.

8 Tim er The Timer c an be se t in hours or minute s up to 12 hours and 59 minutes and counts down the set time . NOTE : The Timer does not start or stop the oven. To S e t : 1. Press TIMER CANCEL*. The timer oven indicator light will light up. If no action is taken after 1 minu te, the di splay wi ll re turn to the time of day mode.
9 BAKEWARE T o cook food evenly , hot a ir must be able to circulate. Allow 2" (5 cm) of space around ba keware and oven walls. Use the following chart as a guid e. Aluminum Fo il IMPORT AN T : Do not line th e oven bott om with any typ e of foil, liners or cookware because perman ent damage will occur to the oven bottom finish.

Press OFF/CANCEL or open the oven door to clear the displa y . T o Set a Delay ed Cook T ime: Before setting, make su re the clock is set to t he correct time of day .
12 T o Stop S elf-Clean anytime: Press OFF/CANCEL. If the oven temperature is too high, the door will r emain locke d. It wi ll no t unlo ck until the ov en cools . General Cleaning IMPORT AN T : Before cleani ng, make sure all controls are of f and the oven and cookt op are cool.
13 BROILER P AN AND GRID (on som e models) Do not clean in the Self-Cleaning cycl e. Cleaning Method: ■ Mildly abrasive cl eanser: Scrub with wet scour ing pad. ■ Solution of ¹₂ cup ( 125 mL) ammonia t o 1 gal. ( 3.75 L) wa ter: Soak for 20 minutes, th en scr ub with sc ouring or ste el-wool pad.
14 Storage Drawer The storage drawer c an be removed. Before r emoving, make sure drawer is cool and empt y . To R e m o v e : 1. Pull the storage drawer straight back past the dra wer stop notch and th e end of the sid e rails. 2. Lift up the bac k of the drawer and pu ll the drawer out.
