2 Unpack Unpack Caution: Do not open ink cartridge packages until you are ready to install the ink. Cartridges are vacuum packed to maintain reliability.

4 Make Settings Make Settings 1. Select your language and country . Pre s s u or d to select the desired option: Pre s s OK when done. 2. F or the Daylight T ime setting, select Summer if your region uses D aylight Saving T ime and it’ s currently in effect.

6 Install Ink Cart ridges Install Ink Cartridges Note: Don’t load paper before in stalling the ink cartridges. 1. Lift up the scanner . 2. Open the cartridge cover . 3. Shake the ink cartridges, then unpack them. 4. Remo ve only the yellow tape from each cartridge.
Install Ink Cartr idges 7 5. Insert the cartridges in the holder for each c olor . 6. P ress the cartridges down until they click. 7. Close the ink cartrid ge co ver and press it down until it clicks.
8 Load Paper 9. P ress the OK button to charge ink. Char ging takes about 2 minutes. Caution: Don’t turn off the CX9475Fax while the On light is flashing or you’ll waste ink. Load Paper 1. Open the paper support and pull up its extension. 2. Open the output tray .

10 Connect Phone Cord Connect Phone Cord T o use the CX9475F ax for faxing, connect the included phone cord from a telephone wall jack to the LINE port on the CX9475F ax. T o connect a telephone or answering machine, see the Quick Guide f or instructions.
