6 Handling Paper Handling Paper Selecting Paper Before printing, you need to select the correct paper type setting. This important setting determines how the ink is applied to the paper. Note: ❏ The availability of special pa per varies by location .
Handling Paper 7 English Loading Paper Into the rear feeder 1. Open and extend the paper support. 2. Move the feeder guard towards you, and then slide the edge guide. 3. Load the paper short edge first, even for landscape printing, with the printable side up.
8 Handling Paper Into the front paper cassette Note: ❏ Do not load Photo Stickers into the front paper cassette. ❏ Do not load paper into the fr ont paper cassette that has already been printed onto one side or that has been fed through the printer once.

32 Maintenance Maintenance Checking the Ink Cartridge Status You can check which cartridge is low. 1. Press F [ Setup ]. 2. Select Ink Levels , then press OK . You see a graphic showing the ink cartridge status: When your ink starts getting low, is displayed.

38 Solving Problems Your printout is blurry or smeared. ■ Make sure the document is placed flat against the document table. If only part of the image is blurred, your original may be wrinkled or warped. ■ Make sure the printer is not tilted or placed on an un even surface.
