1 IMPORTANT If your printer is ne w, set it up according to the enclosed manufact urers instructions. This is a check to ensure your new printer and drivers are workin g correctly before the Eco-Flo System is installed.

3 Check Printer C ondi ti on If you have a brand new printer, follow the Epson instruct ions for setting up your printer. Use the Epson cart ridges that ca me wi th the p rinte r. F ollow n ormal ins talla tion in structio ns for the sof tware. Te st the printer by printi ng pictures.
4 INS TALL ATION OF YOUR EC O-FL O KI T Step 1 Remov i n g the Injector Lid You will need to re move the printer lid on the injec tor carrier as shown illustrated f rom the diagrams below. St ore this somewhere safe should you ever wish to return the printer to its original setup.
5 Step 2 Moving the Printer Head You are now able to move the printer head manually to the centre area of the printer. See below . Step 3 Bottle Preparation Locate the coloured bott le c aps and st raight l engths of plastic tubes. Insert t he straight t ube f irmly into t he b ott om of each bottle cap see Fig.
6 Step 4 Tube Preparation Using a pair of scissors snip gently at t he end of each tube. Please see Fig.8 below. Strip back all the tubes by approx 150mm. Please note when ass embling t he tubes to the bottle caps you may need to strip back more of the tubing in order for the bottles to be seated correctly within the bottle tray.
7 Step 5 Preparation of The Clamps & Inks You are now ready to attach the tube clamps to the tube s as indicated in Fig.11 below. Now plea se fill all the bottles with the correct inks; pl ease ensure t hat all ink has b een filled correctly as indicated by the bottle caps that are colour coded, see Fig.
8 Step 7 As sembling th e Tubing to th e Bottle Ca ps When you have completed the above proces s insert the correct tubes to the correct ink bottles. PLEASE TAKE CARE when doing this as if this is co nnected i ncorr ectl y there i s no turning back see Fig.

10 Step 9 Ins talling the Ch ip Block Unit You are now in a position to remove the Epson cartridges from the printer head, see Fig.20 & Fig.21 below. Ensure that you hold the Colour chip block as indica t e d in Fig . 22 and do not t ouch the contacts as thi s c an cause damage or failure.
11 Step 10 Installing the Chip Support Bars When you have positioned the chip blocks into place you will need to insert and install the support bars as indic at ed the correct w ay up ( A rro w up ) as illustrated in Fig. 24. Please ensure that you insert the bars as illustrated in Fig.
12 Step 11 Install Injectors Please place the set of 6 injectors in the printer car riage that is now parked in the centre of the printer. Carefully align them, and when you are happy the injectors are in position. PLEASE BE C AREFU L NOT TO PUSH TO O HARD, A S THIS W ILL CA US E DAMA GE TO THE INJECT OR & PR INTER HEA D .
13 Align and locate the SLOT in t he R1400 printer head as indicated in Fi g. 32. W hen y ou have installed the spec ial printer lid on the R1400 it should finish and look like Fig.
14 Step 14 I ns t a ll ing t he Ce nt ral Tu be Supp or t B racke t & Aligni n g the T ube s The Tube Support Bracket has Self Adhesive Strips on it. Use an alcohol or c leaning s olution and clean the top of the printer housing where the Tube Support Bracket is going to be attached, see Fig.
15 Please ensure that the tubing has just enough slack which may need to be adjusted to allow movement of the print head w ithout restrict ion. This can be d one manually b y mo ving the head to the left and right and checki ng th at there is just enough tubing to allow the print head to move freely from left to right, see Fig.
16 When you have carefully installed and aligned the tube clip in its correct location, press firmly ensuring that the tube clip i s clicked and stuck down to t he p rinter body, as i llustrated in F ig.
17 43mm Position the Foam Strip in its correct location as W hen y ou have placed the right hand side of indicated in Fig.45, You MUST align the Foam Strip t he Fo am Strip, very carefully bend it back to the flush to the edge ensuring that you lightly tack white point as illustrated in Fig.
18 Step 17 Testing the System Push the injectors to the far right and plug the print er back on. Have your graphics program ( e. g. Photoshop) open and ready to use. The printer should come on and the head should move back and forth a few times and do a cleaning cycle.
19 Step 18 Removing the Injecto rs Please note before removing the injectors you MUS T clamp the tubing on the relevant injectors by LOCKI NG the White tube clamps to avoid air traveling up the injector and into the tube.

This is to ensure the XL (Xtra Life) Dye inks stay suspended in solution and gives constant results.
