Menu Settings and Explanations Scan to Computer (Email) Attaches the scanned image to an email. Scan to Computer (W S D ) Stores scanned data on a network-connected computer running an English version of Windows 8.1, Windows 8, W indows 7, or Windows V ista.
Menu Settings and Explanations 2-Sided F axing Select to scan bo th sides of the original when sending in mon ochrome. Direct Send When sending a fax in monochrome, the sca nned document is temporarily stor ed in the printer's memor y . Theref ore, sending a lot of pages may cause the printer to run out of memory and stop sending the fax.
Quiet Mode Se le ct Qu iet M o de o n the home screen. Prints quietly when enabled. H owever , the printing spee d may be slower . More F unc tions Mode Cop y/Restore Photos Y ou can copy y our p rinted photos. F or mo re details, see t he page that descr ibes the procedure f or cop ying photos.

Layout method Select how to pl ace the photos. Automatic Layout Photos are placed automatically using the selected layout.
Menu Settings and Explanations Photo Adju st men ts Enhance Select on e of the image adjustment options. PhotoEnhance : Pr oduces sharper images and more vivid colors by automatically adjusting the contrast, satu ration, and b rightness of the or iginal image data.
Menu Settings and Explanations Bidirectional Prints while the print head moves to the left an d to the right. Selec ting O (prints while moving in one direction) provides higher quality printi ng, but the printing speed may be slower . Greeting C ard Y ou can add handwrit ten text to a ph oto o r prin t as phot o stick ers.
Menu Se ttings and Explanati ons Layout method Select how to place the photos. Automatic Layout Photos are placed automatically using the sel ected layout. If the number of selected ph otos is l ess than th at of the sel ected lay out, bla nk space s appear on the printo ut.
Menu Settings and E xplanatio ns Outer/Inner Specify the print range. Up to 120 mm for the outer diameter , and a minimum of 18 mm for the inner diameter can be specied. Depending on the setting, the CD/DVD or CD/DVD tray may get dirty. Set the range to t the printable area of your CD/DVD .
Menu Set tings and Ex planations Origami Fold Line Select whether to print fo ld lines on the diagram of the env elope. Image Position Select where to place the image on the envelope.
Menu Settings and E xplanation s Maintenance Nozzle Check Prints a pattern to ch ec k if the print head nozzles are clogged. Head Cleaning Cleans clogged nozzles in th e print head. Pri nt H ea d Alignment Adju sts the print head to improve print quality .
Menu Settings and E xplanation s Network Settings Networ k Status Press Details to check the status of the net work connection, Epso n Connect connection, and so on. Selec t Print Status Sheet to print the network st atus sheet. Wi-F i S etup See the Network Guide to make the following settings.

3. Open the rear pap er feed slot cover. 4. Slide out the paper support. 5. Slide out the edge guides. 6. W ith the prin table side facing u p , insert a single sheet o f paper appr oxim ately 5 cm in to the printer .
c Impor t ant: When loading paper with a de ne d size, align it w ith the pape r size indicat or on the paper support . ❏ Envelopes ❏ Pr e-p unc hed paper Not e: ❏ Load a single sheet of paper without bi ndin g holes a t the top and bottom. ❏ Adjust the print position of your le to avoid printin g over the holes.
8. Press the x button. Not e: e outp ut tr ay slide s out a ut oma tically when p rint in g sta rts. T o eject the t ra y before prin ting sta r ts, press t he button.
Placing Originals Place originals on the scanner glass or the ADF (ADF -equi pped printer s only). U se the scanner gl ass for originals that t he ADF does not support. Y ou can scan multip le originals and both sides of the o riginals at the same time wi th the ADF .
❏ When co pyin g pho tos, place the photos 5 mm apart from the edges o f the scanner glass. Y ou can place up to two pho tos at the same time (depen ding on t he s iz e of ori gi na ls ). Le a ve 5 m m b e twe en photos. Y ou can place photos o f dierent sizes at the same time.
4. Close t he cover gen tly . Not e: Re move the or ig inal s a er sc anning or copy ing . If y ou leave the or ig inal s on t he s canne r gl ass for a l ong time, the y may stick to the surface of the glass.
2. Open the AD F in pu t tray and extend the ADF o ut put tray exte nsio n. 3. Slide out the ADF edge guide. 4. Place the originals face-up in the ADF , and then slide the ADF edge guide to the edge of the originals. c Impor t ant: ❏ Do not loa d origin als a bove the l ine i nd ica ted b y th e trian gle symb ol on t he AD F edge gu ide.

Inser ting a Memor y Car d Suppor ted Memor y Cards miniSD * miniSDHC * microSD* microSDHC * microSD X C * SD SDHC SDX C * Attach an adapter to t the memor y card slot. Lo ading a CD/DVD f or Printing Prin table CD/DVDs Y ou can prin t on a ci rcular 12-cm CD/DVD labelled as sui table fo r prin ting, fo r exam ple "prin table on the label surface" or "prin table with ink jet prin ters.
Not e: When the output tr a y is ej ected, check tha t there is no paper on the tray , and then close it by pr essi ng the button or pushing it w it h your hand. 1. 6. Place a CD/DVD o n the CD/D VD tray with the prin table side face-up . 7. Insert the CD/DVD tray in to the print er . Line up the alignment marks on the p rinter and the tray .

9. Pres s Ready , a message is displayed telling you that the prin ter is ready , and then press OK . 10. Change the p rint densi ty settings as necessary . 11. Press the x button. 12. When prin ting has nished, the CD/DVD tray is ejec ted. Remove the tray from the printer , and then press OK .

Printi ng a CD /DVD L ab el w ith Eps on Print CD Epson P rint CD lets you easily create and print an origin al design CD/D VD label. Y ou can also create an d prin t a CD/DVD jacket. Y ou can set the print range f or the CD/DVD t o a minimum o f 18 mm fo r the inner diameter , and a maximum of 120 mm for the ou ter diameter .
Using Epson iPri nt Start Epso n iPrint fr om yo ur smart device and s elect the item you wan t to use f rom the ho me screen. e follo wing screens ar e sub ject to chan ge witho ut no tice. A Home screen displayed when the application is star ted.
Using AirPrint AirPrin t allows y ou t o wireless ly p rint to y our AirP rint-enab led print er from your iOS device using the latest versio n of iOS and from yo ur Mac OS X v10.
Printing fr om a Digital Camer a Connected by USB C able Y ou can p rin t pho tos dir ectly fro m a digi tal camer a con nected b y US B cable . 1. Load paper i n the pa per cas set te. 2. Select Set up > Ex t e rna l Devic e Se t up from the home screen.
6. Disp lay the list of availab le p rint ers o n the digi tal camera, and then select the prin ter you wan t t o connect to . Not e: ❏ T o check t he print er's nam e, pre ss the ne twork st at us icon on the ho me screen.
