21 Basic Operation > Turning on the Pr ojector F Press the [Power] button. The projector beeps and the power supply indicator begins to blink green.
22 Turning off the Projector A Turn off the power to the c omputer/video equ ipment. B Press the [Power] button. A confirmation screen is displayed. C Press the [Power] button again. The power indicator begins to blink. D Wait until the power indic ator lights orange and the projector beeps twice.
23 Adjusting the Display Adjust ing the projec tion si ze The size o f the pr ojected ima ge is ba sically determin ed by the distance fr om the p rojecto r to the screen. s "Projection distance and screen size " P .10 A Press the [Wide] or [Tele ] buttons on the con trol panel to adjust the projection si ze.
24 Basic Ope ration > Adju sting the Di splay Adjusting the projection angle Set up th e proj ector so t hat i t is at r ight an gles to a screen. If it is not possible to set up the projector so that it is at right angles to a screen, it can be set up at a slight vertical angle instead.
25 Basic Ope ration > Adju sting the Di splay Keyst one When th e proj ector is not set at right ang les to a screen, th e displ ay distorts in the shape of a trap ezoid. Th is disto rtion can be corrected. A Press the [ v ] or [ w ] buttons. Images can be corrected without distortion when the projector is tilted to a maximum of ±15°.
26 Selecting the Input Source When a device is connec ted, pr oject ion com mence s automa ticall y without h aving to select th e input source, h owever when conn ected t o two or more device s, select desired the input source. Projector The input source changes each time [Source ] is pressed.
27 Advanced Op eration Functions for Enhancing Projection Adjusting computer generate d images f Auto setup (Computer connections) The computer signal is analysed and the following settings are adjusted to ensure the optimum ima ge quality. • Tracking g • Position • Sync.
28 Advanced Operation > Funct ions for Enhancing Proje ction A/V Mute Temporar ily stop s the im age a nd sound. A Press the [A/V Mute] button on the remote co ntrol. The sound and image disappear. Projection is resumed when you press the [A/V Mute] button again or press the [Esc] button.

35 Advanced Operation > Configuration M enus Functio n list f Image menu • When no signal is being input, only the settings for " Auto Setup" and "Input Signal" can be adjusted. • The functions in the "Image" Menu will be different according to the type of signal which is being input.
36 Advanced Operation > Configuration M enus Sub me nu Function Color Mode Corrects the vivi dness of the image colour . The settings can be sa ved separately for each type of source (computer or video). Select from 5 dif ferent quality settings depending on the type of scene.
37 Advanced Operation > Configuration M enus Pictur e Quality Sync. g (Computer images only) Adjusts the image when flickering, fuzziness or interferenc e occur in the image. Flickering and fuzziness may also occur when the brightness, contrast, sharpness or keystone correction settings are adjusted.

When this command is select ed, the cum ulati ve lamp operat ing time is reset to t he defa ult val u e . All Reset Resets all items in the conf iguration menus to their default settings.
43 Troubleshooting When You Suspect a Problem First, check th e indicators on the p rojector. There ar e two i ndicat o rs on the p rojecto r un it whi ch not ify you of pr ojec tor cond itio ns. Power indi cato r lit flas hing • If the indicat or is not lit, the power supply is n ot on.

54 Appe ndices Projector Care Clea ning You shoul d clea n the pr ojector if it beco mes dirty or if the project ed image starts to det eriorate . f Cleaning the projec tor case Clean the projector case by wiping it gently with a soft cloth.
55 Appendices > Projector Care f Cleaning the air filte r If the air filter become s clogged with dust, it can cause overheating and damage the projector. Keeping the projector horizontal, use a vacuum cleaner to clean a way the dust from the air filt er.

Press the lamp until it clicks into place, then tight en the two fixing screws. F Replace the lamp cover . First insert the tabs, and then press down on the opposite side until it clicks into place.
59 Appendices > Projector Care f Resetting the lamp operating time The projector has a built-in counter whic h keeps track of the lamp operating time and causes the replaceme nt warning message to be displayed when the cumulative operating time reac hes a certain point.
